Just Because… I 46C

=When was the last time Peggy entered Tanner’s room? She’s never needed anything from him and she’s always yelled if she was told to get him. She stood before the open door, looking into his bedroom. She didn’t want to do this, but her plan depends on it. At dinner, it might raise more questions especially if Steph comes home in time for it. And while she liked to call Tanner stupid, he’s a lot smarter than she gives him credit for and he might figure it out. She took in a deep breath, took two steps forward and knocked.

“What do you want?”

“Is that how you talk to your mother?” She asked as she entered fully. She turned and saw him on his bed, doing homework. Rare.

“I know how mom knocks and I know yours.” He didn’t raise his head from his books. “What do you want?”

Like she thought, smart. She hated that. She rolled her eyes and perked up. “I was wondering.” She sounded slightly playful. “When will you be going to Tulips again? I’m ready now.”
