Noelle looked at Sawyer and Otto with a mix of confusion and disappointment. “That’s what you guys were talking about?”

Otto rolled his eyes. “Elle, just answer the question, or would you prefer a grandfather.” Sawyer snickered beside him. The warm air and the sun surprisingly soothing them after hours of being apart, reading. The smallest of the three gardens was a nice change of pace. However, of all the stone benches and tables occupied, they were the only ones not reading.

After hours of being stuck inside reading, Noelle’s words when she called them thirty minutes ago suggested they go out for a bit. Otto didn’t want to leave his room as expected and Sawyer argued that they needed to read. After all, they, he and Otto, had spent the day before play games, watching movies and talking. There were only two topics of conversation that day but who’s counting? So yes, they needed to make up for the four to five hours they had spent goofing around.
