Friends Of… I 64A

=Under the hot afternoon sun, Peggy and her friends strolled down the sidewalk on their way back from Moira’s house. If not for the swimming pool in her house, they would all be feeling much hotter than they do now. Tamara and Nancy suggesting out loud what they should do next time. Their discussion was interrupted by one in a group of three boys who spoke up. “Where are you guys coming from?”

“You’re supposed to say hi before asking questions.” Tamara pointed out.

“Oh.” He looked back at his snickering friends. “H-hi Peggy.”

Peggy’s eyes widened in surprise at the twist. “Hi.” She put up her hand in a wave.

Silence came over them as they waited for something else. “You’re supposed to say hi to all of us.”

“I chose Peggy to represent you all. Is that a problem?”

“Well in that case, hi Rob.”

“Hi Tam.”

“Dude you ruined it.”

“What’s the point of this? We need to get home.” Nancy started to turn.

“Hold on.” Rob asked, “You know there’s a party tonight right?”
