From about eleven forty to two ten: they were driving, from two ten to two forty five: Sawyer was being shown around and watching them being served ice cream by Marvin and the older ones and from two forty five to five fifteen, they were playing all sorts of games, asking him and Marvin all sorts of questions, returning his glasses to him broken and finally they left. And it wasn’t until they were out of the building that Sawyer noticed the car that Marvin had gone up to the day before.
“I admit.” Sawyer started as they drove off. “It wasn’t entirely depressing.” Marvin laughed, Sawyer smiled. “I mean they looked like they were having fun even though some of their friends were adopted recently. Even if the teenagers were pretending, kids don’t.” He licked his lips, he still can’t believe he was just at an orphanage.
“We have one more stop to make, are you good with that?” Marvin assessed him. “Two if we stop for a change of clothes, you think you’re my size?”
