V2 3 - Part D:

"Yawn*"

I got up from my bed and do some stretching to relieve my drowsiness.

Well, the stretching worked a bit but I still need to drink a full doze of caffeine in order to wake myself up.

Maybe two cans of blue cherry cola would do.

Anyway, I pick my cell phone up that was lying on my desk and turn it on to check the time.

The time is now 6:30 in the morning.

Normally, I would wake up around five in the morning because of the annoying morning drill but since it's the weekend, there is no morning drill.

In other words, I could do whatever the hell I want.

So I decided to indulge myself in online games the whole day after eating some breakfast, but first, I need to do my morning ritual.

I enter the bathroom, took a shower and brush my teeth.

After that, I went to my drawer and took some casual clothing out which is a black t-shirt, a white hoodie jacket, a black jeans and sports socks.

After I dress myself up, I pick up the red sneakers that is lying on the floor instead of the shoe rack and wear them.

Since my hair is slightly wet, I synthesize some hot air by slightly vibrating the molecules around my head till it dries.

I didn't bother combing my hair after drying since my hair is naturally straight and it's such a pain in the ass to do so.

I pick up my cell phone that was lying on my desk, put it in my pocket and leave the room.

I head towards cafeteria 1 to get some grub.

Cafeteria 1...

Naturally, you wont see any students here in the early morning since it's the weekend and most of them are probably sleeping right now.

So, it's just me and the teachers...

And also Clarissa.

"Good morning Bat Man!"

Clarissa greeted me cheerfully.

Clarissa is wearing her usual cute casual clothes and a white apron.

I greet her back casually.

"Morning..."

After that, I grab a tray and start grabbing some food.

As I reach Clarissa...

"How's your week Bat Man?"

She strikes up a conversation.

I respond to her question casually.

"Well... So-so I guess..."

Except for the part where I felt, like someone is following.

I didn't say that out loud though.

"I see..."

Clarissa starts fidgeting with her thumbs.

"Well umm... Can I ask you something?"

She said in a low volume.

I probably already know what she wants to ask judging by her action but I decided to play dumb.

I give my approval.

"Go ahead."

Clarissa asks her question.

"Umm... Have you ever felt like someone is following you or maybe watching?"

Well, that was unexpected.

I thought that she was going to ask me to hang out with her.

If she did ask me that though, I couldn't refuse her since she will use her charm to make me all flustered and not think straight.

Well, hanging out with Clarissa is not all bad though, except for the death stares I'm getting from all the boys but I want some alone time today.

Anyway, time to answer her question.

"Well I did, in fact yesterday."

She responds in surprise.

"You too Bat Man??"

"Yup..."

Suddenly, I feel like someone is about to stab me in the back.

I quickly turn around to see if there's anyone and in fact there is.

A bunch of teachers happily eating while chatting with one another.

By the way, one of the teachers is uncle Huck, and he's currently trying to tell a knock knock joke to Professor Einstein and Mr. Rogers.

"Bat Man, is there something wrong?"

I turn towards Clarissa who said that and saw her worried expression.

Since I didn't want to make her scared and all, I brush it off.

"No... It's nothing..."

"I see..."

Suddenly, Clarissa starts fidgeting with her thumbs and became all flustered.

I'm guessing this is it.

I better try to avoid the subject or else I couldn't say no.

"Umm... Bat Man... Well... Would you like to-"

"How long have you been feeling that someone is watching you?"

"Uh! Oh! Well... Around last Wednesday."

Good job me!

Now time to continue the conversation.

"Did something happened that made you feel that way like eating something strange or angering someone?"

Clarissa thinks for a bit.

After few seconds, she answers my question.

"Well... I don't recall that I ate something strange or angering someone... Or perhaps I did...

Well... I couldn't really remember."

I try to pry in to the matter.

"Do you remember anything that you did this past week that could trigger it?"

I feel like a detective right now.

"This past week... Let's see..."

Clarissa starts thinking to herself again.

After few seconds, she answers my question.

"I'm not sure if this is related or anything, but there's this guy who asked me out."

It's no surprise to me that a guy will ask Clarissa out since she's cute and has an attractive personality.

Not to mention that she looks really good in an apron.

"I see... So there's a guy that ask you out... And then?"

For some reason, Clarissa gives an unsatisfied look.

I ignore it and pry in further.

"Uhh... And then?"

She breeds in deeply and returns to normal.

"And then I rejected him..."

"I see..."

I analyze what Clarissa has said and give my deduction.

"Do you think that guy you rejected is the one who's watching you?"

"Well... I rejected him politely, and I don't think he's the type to do that... Or maybe he would...

I'm not sure since I barely know him."

Clasrissa and her vague answers...

Time to go straight to the point and get some answers.

"Do you know his name?"

"Actually no. I only know his face since he eats here a lot."

"What does he look like?"

"Well... He looks normal."

"What year is he?"

"I think he's a first year since he's wearing the same red necktie like all the first years."

So a normal looking guy who is an evil stalker?

Somehow I couldn't imagine it since all evil stalkers looks like sick perverts based on my experience.

(Note: Linel is referring to Luna's hardcore fans.)

If it was Mathias though, I'll probably believe it with no questions ask.

I give my verdict.

"I doubt he's the one watching you."

"I doubt it too..."

Suddenly, someone interrupts us.

"Ehem!"

Clarissa and I look towards the person who said that.

"I see you two are all lovey dovey in the morning but do me a favor and do it elsewhere. You're both causing traffic."

It was Feini.

Feini is currently wearing a pink jersey.

I wonder if she have any other clothes besides her uniform and some jerseys.

"Here you go Bat Man!"

As Clarissa who is embarrassed said like a lunch lady while placing a plate of bread on my tray.

"Thanks..."

After I said my thanks, I silently move on to the next counter.

That was so embarrassing.

(Meanwhile)

A silhouette who is seating at a far away table from where Linel and Clarissa are, is mumbling to himself angrily while eating a calorie bar that he bought from the convenience store.

"So that bastard is Bat Man!"

For today's plan, play some MMO till I drop.

Since it's quite boring to do it in my room, I'll do it at my favorite spot which is under the apple tree on top of a small hill at the observatory deck.

Hopefully, Wren and Eri haven't taken that spot yet.

While I was walking at the staff area, I stumble upon Aeris.

Aeris is currently wearing a pink t-shirt with animated Luna's face on it and a black mini skirt.

I tend to wonder, how many of those printed shirt does she have?

Anyway, Aeris is currently carrying a pile of documents while cheerfully humming Luna's ever famous song "Rainy Day" and walking towards somewhere.

She doesn't seem to notice me, so I decided to greet her.

"Sup..."

Aeris suddenly stops walking and turn towards me.

She greets me back.

"Oh! Good morning Linel!"

Since I was curious about those documents that Aeris is carrying so I ask about it.

"So what's up with those documents?"

"These documents Linel are research papers that Professor Einstein asked me to deliver to the Technological Science club."

"Research papers? Isn't that kinda ancient?"

Nowadays, everything is almost digital so research papers are a thing of the past.

You could probably put all your research data inside your phone or tablet which is more convenient than papers.

"Well... I also thought that and ask Professor Einstein about it. He only told me that these are research papers."

"I see..."

I approach Aeris and took half of the load from her.

I'm not really trying to act cool and score some points, it's just that, my mother trained me that if a girl is in trouble, you have to help her or else.

I'm not sure if Aeris is really in trouble but I'll help her anyways.

Aeris, who seems to be surprised by my sudden action, reacts.

"Linel I really appreciate your help but you don't really have to since I could actually do it myself..."

"Two is better than one."

I said and start walking.

Aeris follows in pursuit and walks beside me.

She thanks me sincerely.

"Thank you Linel..."

"You're welcome..."

We make our way towards Tech Lab 2 but while we're at it, I get this strange feeling again like someone is following us.

I look towards Aeris and see if she has some kind of reaction but her face is as normal as always.

She took notice of me staring at her and ask...

"Is there something wrong?"

Since I don't want to make her paranoid, I brush her off.

"Nothing..."

"Alright..."

After that, she starts humming.

To be honest, Aeris has such a nice voice, so I didn't mind her humming at all.

We continue walking towards Tech Lab 2.

I probably have to play in my room instead since Wren and Eri probably took that spot already.

Oh well!

It's better than nothing.

(Meanwhile)

A Silhouette who's hiding by leaning on a wall is watching Linel and Aeris.

He suddenly mumbles to himself angrily.

"That bastard is making me jealous! He's going to pay for that!"

Two days later...

Sigh! School starts again...

To think I was getting into this cool MMO called Celes Arca.

I wish the weekend is longer.

I enter my classroom, went towards my desk and hang my school bag at the side.

While I was about to pull my chair and take a seat, I saw a bunch of paper envelops sticking out of my desk drawer.

I took out the envelopes and examine it.

Is this a love letter?

Zack who's sitting beside me saw the envelopes and shouts...

"Dudes! Linel have some love letters!"

Because of that, everyone surrounded me.

The four morons (Lokki, Roc, Zack and Maple) try to pressure me.

"OPEN IT! OPEN IT!"

It worked, and I was pressured to open one of the letters.

As I did I read out the contents.

"I challenge you to a fight at Arena 1 after school. Don't chicken out on me! What the hell?"

I opened the other letters to see what it is.

As I did, they all have a similar message from the first letter which is a challenge to a fight.

I couldn't help but to express myself.

"What the hell?"

Suddenly, Roc screams in excitement.

"A fight? Hell yeah!"
