Hello people!

As you are aware it is Shinju, this here is my first fanfic aptly named Perseus: God of War!

The franchises Percy Jackson and God of War are owned by Rick Riordan and David Jaffe.

Any Greek/Latin words and phrases used are through Google Translate (Greek/Latin)

I don't beat around the bush so let start with the story:

Percy POV

Location: Throne Room of Olympus

Time: 2000 hrs.

When we ask ourselves, what is war? What does it mean?

Is it a state of conflict between mortals, states, countries, regimes, ideas etc.? Yes, and surprisingly it also contains immortals.

Yes, Immortals!

Oh! You don't understand it, do you?

I am talking about gods, more specifically the pagans. You know Greek Gods.

Wait you suddenly realized that if the gods namely Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hercu …No NOT that one, I hate that one!! are real than are monsters real? You guessed it!

Now this brings me back to my point, War. We, as in demigods of Camp Jupiter and Half Blood had gone through war. War against what? Funny you should ask…well against our not so lovely relatives, The Giants and great-grand ma Gaea. Gigantic immortals with Gigantic Egos! Even by Zeus Standards. The Second Gigantomachy as it is called happened. The ordeals of Tartarus and Door of Death. Just don't ask. Read the books.

We fought and won. Relief had been the first feeling at seeing Annabeth alive and breathing beside me and then came the dread. The battlefield as reminiscent as Tartarus itself courtesy to one God named Ares.

How, well Betrayal.

If you asked for an immortal Hitler, this would be the man (God). While he didn't join the Giants, he did try to kill Zeus in the midst of battle.

Why.

Well since he was the next in line to the throne (rightfully) he thought (does he?) in the midst of battle Zeus would fade and he could claim the throne and wage war on anything and everything for all eternity.

Stupid. This is Ares in a seashell.

Long story short he failed, got caught and is now on trial. Has been for year, why though, why not be done with it. Well as Gods, they are lazy, prideful and well somethings that I would rather not say. Currently all demigods were standing beside their respective parents and Ares was in chains and as expected was mouthing off every word in the Dictionary of Curse Words that would make a sailor blush.

Speaking of dictionaries, I looked towards Annabeth and saw her smiling towards Julian, a son of Apollo. "Why?" I thought. I found that Annabeth, my Wise Girl was not only cheating on me but was also stringing me along well before Tartarus.

There was a lot of shouting, screaming and well pretty much every Soap Opera Act that could be enacted. I caught them making out behind Zeus's Fist. I was angry and obviously with anger came destruction but Clarisse (surprisingly) was able to calm me down enough to have rational thought.

Clarisse had lost Chris in the war and I then realized that scars came in different shape and forms. A limb for one and a love for another. Nobody walked away unscathed. I hoped that my cousins, while I did not know them as intimately, I knew my own friends would find Elysium and the rest they deserved. I put my hand on Clarisse's shoulder, smiling softly at her and letting her know that nobody blamed her or her siblings for her father's deeds.

A single tear glided down Clarisse's cheek and she nodded back. This moment of care and acceptance was interrupted by none other than Ares.

"War!! I did it for War! It is after all my purpose ..."

War. Bloody War. Mindless killing for the sake of killing. Is that even ...

Hundreds of demigods, gods and mortals. Yes mortals. We were almost exposed. The Mist nearly gone. A few moments more and every news channel in the world would be calling for our blood. Our entire pantheon exposed to the people who would seek to control, experiment and eventually destroy us for things beyond our control.

But thankfully Hecate was able to hold on to it long enough to be put back together. Fourteen mortals were still in a mental institution trying to convince the world that they saw a Human Lightbulb, courtesy to Leo.

Speaking of Leo, he had used the Physician's Cure to stay alive and of course landed on Ogygia where he met Calypso.

Zeus thundered "I have never been more ashamed of you in all my immortal life as I am now!"

Ares retorted "Look who's talking? A god that humps everything with a hole and ate his own wife because of a prophecy just like his father before him."

Athena's voice hitched, while she was a goddess who claimed to be in control of her emotions, her mother's death was still a sore spot for her. She glared at Ares and Zeus before saying "I call for a vote, Dismissal of Ares as The God of War."

As the criticality of the statement set in every Olympian was shouting, but none more so than Ares.

"What?! You stupid b*****! I am The God of War. You are no one to me and I am above you stupid f****. I swear on The River Styx. I will destroy you. "A thundering boom rang throughout the throne room.

The Gods waited for his rant to end and faintly muttered among themselves. Zeus and Hera finally after discussion looked at Ares and repeats Athena's statement. To which The Gods, all gods unanimously agree.

Finality.

It sunk in. Ares looked pale and then glared at Athena swearing revenge. Finally, Zeus ordered Hades to toss Ares in to Tartarus. Hades pulled Ares's chains and flung him through the crack that led to eternal hell. Flashbacks came to my mind and I looked away.

I was not scared of The Gods, Titans, monsters…You name it! But Tartarus …yes that there pulled my own thread of life. I looked at Clarisse as she started crying, a girl who had hated me from the day I came to camp, we had been at odds from the moment we met. Two sides, two views and burdens that make even The Gods shudder.

A girl, no woman who had lost her mother, her siblings, her lover and her father who didn't give a damn about her. While he did not care, he was still her father. This reminded me of Luke, how desperately demigods would cling to the hope of acceptance from their godly parents and yet wouldn't even come close to it.

My inner conversations were interrupted once again by Zeus "Athena, will be taking over Ares's domains until a suitable replacement can be found and inducted to take over. Which brings me to another matter, what should be done with the spawns of Ares and Mars. I say we destroy them!"

The throne room fell in hushed whispers, no one was expecting that…well maybe Athena did. I immediately interrupted "Uncle, you can't!"

"And why shouldn't I, they can overthrow Olympus like their father." Zeus boomed back.

"That's like blaming Thalia for your mistakes, you insist that the gods are better then their predecessors yet are not proving it by carrying out this motion." I shouted back.

Zeus looked contemplative as did the others well except Demeter who looked indifferent and Dionysus was just reading his Wine Tabloids. When the vote was called only Zeus, Hera and Dionysus were for the motion …well because Dionysus would have less brats to look after.

Percy POV

Location: Throne Room of Olympus

Time: 2030 hrs.

Zeus surveyed the throne room and called over all demigods, Roman and Greek flickered into Jupiter as his gaze landed on Jason and then changed back.

"Demigods! Winning the war would have been difficult …

"Brother" Dad chided.

"Winning the war would have been impossible and I was wrong in closing down Olympus" Zeus corrected himself, his face depicting his displeasure at admitting his faults.

He continued "There have been sacrifices though these dark times and today we honor those with us and those in eternal rests." many looked down at this "Hades will make sure they achieve Elysium and now for the rewards."

Zeus flickering into Jupiter "Jason Grace, step forward!"

"My Lord Father" Jason bowed and spoke.

"You are being offered Godhood! Will you choose to accept it?"

Jason looks backs at Piper and she nods. Jason looks up to his father "Yes father." with a hint of excitement.

"You will the Minor God of Air and Thunder!" Zeus flickered back.

Jason glowed lightning blue for a second and looked a shade lighter.

"Piper McLean, step forward!" shouted a bubbly voice, Aphrodite.

Piper stepped forward and turned to her mother.

"You are also being offered Godhood! Will you choose to accept it?"

Piper nods. Aphrodite shoots a pink beam across the throne room and it covers Piper "You are now the Minor Goddess of Love and Beauty!"

Piper rebounds and kisses Jason for all his worth.

Frank was next. Since Ares was not indisposed. Bellona, Sister of Mars appeared.

Frank asked to have the curse of stick lifted and with help of Juno removed it.

Hazel wished to stay with Frank, as immortal campers guiding the Legions of Rome. Similarly other demigods who played major roles in the war were rewarded. What surprised me was Annabeth.

"Annabeth Chase" calmly spoke Athena, almost whispered, yet clearly heard. Her voice, proud yet I make out the flickers of pity as she glanced towards me.

"What?" I thought. I had half-expected her to call for my blood as soon as the war was over so there was not a possibility of betraying the Gods.

Annabeth smugly stepped forward "Yes, mother!"

"I too would like make the same offer as Lord Jupiter has given Jason Grace."

"Yes!" she immediately replied.

People were shocked, but none more so than Julian. "What?!, Annabeth how can you…."

Annabeth immediately interrupted "But Julian, this is Godhood. It's all I have ever wanted, Sorry. But this may be the only opportunity I get."

A grayish beam shoot through the room and Annabeth became the Minor Goddess of Knowledge.

Julian looked like someone kicked his puppy. Apollo, for the first time in my life looked enraged.

In that moment, I had an epiphany that Annabeth was the daughter of Athena and with that came the Fatal Flaw of Pride. Annabeth was an opportunist and only sought to gain her own goals nothing more, nothing less.

While I had not moved on (Fatal Flaw of Loyalty did not allow me to) I was not stupid, contrary to popular belief (War does that to people). I shuddered for a second, which unfortunately my father caught on. He solemnly nodded towards me.

I nodded back; I knew what was coming.

"Perseus Jackson, step forward!" Poseidon boomed.

"Does anybody find my son unworthy?" No one interrupted. Dad continued "We would once again offer you Godhood, An Olympian."

"I would have to decline that offer again, My Lord." I answered back. Romans were shocked. They did not know that I had declined Godhood before, that too and Olympian. Zeus was turning red with rage but kept it in.

"I would instead ask you for simple wishes, well within your power, not crossing any boundaries. But you must swear on The River Styx effectively and immediately."

"What?!You don't trust us?" Dionysus said.

"No, I don't. I had taken the oath from you during Dear Old Gramps War and you still haven't kept it."

Zeus finally lost his patience. "Fine. I on behalf of the of the Olympian Council swear that any requests made by Perseus Jackson will be resolved immediately."

"First, I would like that both Lady Hestia and Lord Hades will be given thrones on the Olympian Council as they have as much of a role in this war as any other Olympian and also are the son and daughter of Kronos and are your siblings."

Hestia and Hades were immediately welcomed and Hestia gave me her blessing as an orangish beam of light struck me. "With this you will be able to summon meals and control the flames."

Hades looked towards me and I saw a ghost of a smile. I smiled back. He said that if I ever wanted to visit the Underworld I was welcomed.

I followed up with my next request, "To free, all gods and Titans that were in exile like Calypso and Leto." Leo looked ecstatic to have Calypso.

Hermes was ordered to carry out that order. As soon as they were brought Apollo and Artemis bounced off their thrones and hugged their mother. Leto at first looked surprised but slowly melted into the hug. Everybody smiled at the display except for Hera, she scowled and glared at me. I of course stared blankly at her.

Hera knew she couldn't do anything to me as I had almost saved all the Olympians personally and Olympus twice additionally, she also took my memory away which was enough to condemn her to Tartarus.

"My next wish is for all minor gods and goddesses to be accepted and have cabins equally."

At this most Olympians looked hesitant; they had promised before but alas like always it had not been kept. But I was adamant for this wish to be granted.

"You ask much son…. too much." Poseidon sighed.

"I hold you to your oath, father."

"Perseus is right" Athena weighed in.

"This war has showed us that if we are better than Titans, Giants and Primordial we must act like it."

My mouth did its best impression of a fish out of water. "Did Athena, a goddess who hates my guts, agrees with me." I thought, my nervousness showing.

"Is that all, young Perseus", spoke out hades.

"No, one last wish, My Lord." I replied.

Every Olympian in the room groaned like children, albeit powerful children, but children none the less.

"In the aftermath of the war, I found out that Gaea in the end has stationed assassins to kill my mother, Paul and my Baby sister Estelle, should she fall. Which to her was unlikely then, but she did. My mother and Paul were killed but I was quick enough to save my sister Estelle. After giving final rights to my parents. I have been taking care of her for quite some time."

At this Hestia, Hades and Poseidon silently looked down knowing what had gone down in the apartment. Percy was angry and had killed the assassins in gruesome ways and Hades had for the first time in a long while shuddered at what one mortal was capable of.

I continued "In light of such circumstances, I am asking this esteemed Council that I am allowed to leave the Greek world and live my life peacefully, while caring for my sister." I slipped honeyed words in my reply…which I myself had been surprised about but it was a welcomed play.

Now, every immortal and demigod looked at him like he had grown fins and gills.

"But Perseus…" Dad pleaded.

"This is my last wish, I have fought two wars, killed monsters, faced immortals of all kinds, and lost my parents, I have lost much" my voice depicting my heartbreak through Annabeth. "I would like to die like any ordinary mortal when my time comes, that is all."

After long contemplation, Poseidon finally agreed and the ceremony came to an end.

Apollo and Hermes immediately shouted "PARTY!!" and the throne room was lit up with decorations.

Percy POV

Location: Throne Room of Olympus

Time: 2300 hrs.

Everybody was having a nice time and after drinking and dancing for a little while, I silently walked towards the exit. As I reaches it, somebody called me .I turned and saw Artemis. She was wearing a silver gown with a tiara ,the one like Thalia.

"Leaving already Perseus." Artemis said.

"Yes, Milady." I answered.

"It is sad, one of the only males that I tolerate and he ups and leaves." she stated.

"It is not my intention to cause any displeasure, milady. But I have lost a lot, so have all the others. I respect them for their sacrifices but now I have a responsibility, one that is above me buts a responsibility that I am willing to shoulder."

Artemis understood that I was talking about Estelle.

I gazed out the night sky, and it fell on The Huntress.

"How do you cope up with the death of Zoe, Milady?" I suddenly blurted out, (stupid ADHD!) only understanding my transgression once it was out of my mouth. I was about to apologize when Artemis stopped me and answered, "You learn to move on." I looked and sighed, just as I was about to thank her, she hugged me.

"What?!" I mentally shouted, Artemis the MAN-HATER, maiden goddess was hugging a male and as soon as it happened, she pulled back and muttered a "Thank You."

"What for?"

"For saving Olympus, for saving me, for being not like other males, for accepting Zoe and most importantly for freeing my mother." she said with golden cheeks.

"Its fine, I did what any hero would have done in my place."

"No, never. NO demigod what have done what you did."

I looked at her and sighed again, been doing that a lot "Give my thanks to Thalia."

Artemis finally asked "IS it not dangerous to go out in the mortal world, your scent is enormous even by Big Three Terms."

"I have killed pretty much every monster in Greek and Roman History, monsters steered clear off me for the past year." I answered back.

Artemis thanked me one last time and left. I looked back one last time and said "Canada would be good."
