2.10 Self Control

[666: You know, Host…]

[What?]

[666 understands that you're a servant whose status is even lower than that of a dog…]

Lu Yizhou's hand that was drying his hair paused. The corner of his lips twitched. Lower than a dog? He sneered. He had no idea that he was that low in the system's eyes.

[666: Ah, ah, don't be angry! 666 means that although you are the villain's servant, it doesn't mean that you are also his bed warmer!] Actually, 666 wanted to warn its Host not to be so dense and slow. Hadn't he gone through this kind of thing before with the previous world's villain? Seriously, 666 sensed a heavy red flag from the way Theodore looked at its Host…

Sadly, its Host was exactly that dense!

[What the hell are you thinking about?] Lu Yizhou frowned. [He's just a temperamental brat.]

[666: Brat?! He's already fifteen, Host! Back in the 18th century, males around his age had already taken in a wife or two!]

An incredulous laugh escaped Lu Yizhou's lips. Theodore? Taking a wife? He couldn't imagine it happening. Theodore couldn't even wear his clothes properly without his assistance and he would throw a tantrum everytime Lu Yizhou left him alone just for a few moments. How could this kind of teenager marry a woman? He was nothing but a child.

Perceiving its Host's thoughts, 666 was filled with the urge to flip the table and roar! How could Lu Yizhou be so naive?! Hadn't he looked into the mirror to see how attractive he was?! Even a straight man would bend when they were faced with Lu Yizhou, let alone the villain whose sexuality was clearly dubious! It grumbled in the corner. Whatever! 666 would let Lu Yizhou taste his own medicine! It would wait until he ate his own words!

[Give me fifteen Blood Restoration Pills.]

[666: F—Fifteen? Are you sure?]

Lu Yizhou hummed. There was no way he could chase Theodore out as long as he still wanted to be here. After getting into contact with Alfred's blood, Lu Yizhou's nose felt more sensitive than usual. He had to take a precaution first otherwise there was no telling what might happen if he lowered his guard down. What if he accidentally gnawed on Theodore when he was half asleep? That would be terrifying, he shuddered.

A bunch of pills appeared in his mouth along with the system notification of successful purchase. Lu Yizhou chewed on them, his stomach twisted with nausea. In the past two weeks, he had taken more than 100 Blood Restoration Pills. It was a wonder how Lu Yizhou hadn't experienced psychological trauma whenever he saw that pill.

He put his palms on the sink and stared into his eyes in the mirror. "Get ahold of yourself, Lu Yizhou..."

"Raphael!" Theodore hollered from outside. "What takes you so long?! I almost fell asleep waiting for you!"

Lu Yizhou inhaled once again and exited the bathroom. Theodore was there, laying on his stomach and hugging Lu Yizhou's pillow, his jet black hair spread across the white mattress like fine strands of silk. Even with drowsiness in his eyes, he still forcefully peeled his eyes open to give Lu Yizhou a glare. "What are you dilly-dallying for? Your bed is so cold and uncomfortable to sleep on."

Lu Yizhou shook his head helplessly. "If you're sleepy, no need to wait for me, Young Master."

Theodore harrumphed and averted his eyes. How could he do that? Wouldn't his effort be deemed futile? "Stop talking and come here. If I can't wake up on time tomorrow, then it's all your fault!" He tried to calm his furiously beating heart as Raphael drew close. Then, the sleepiness abruptly left him and he caught his breath when Raphael suddenly took off his robe, leaving only a thin knee length loose trousers. Theodore's eyes couldn't help but run across that smooth expanse of chiseled chest, the way his muscles flexed beautifully with his movement and the midnight blue hair that covered his faint pink nipples, leaving his own imagination wild. He propped his upper body up with his arms, astounded. "You...You…"

"Ah." Realization dawned on Lu Yizhou. "My apologies, it's a habit." He was ready to wear the robe again when Theodore complained with a huff.

"What are you doing, taking off then wearing it again? Just put it down and come up here!"

Lu Yizhou had no choice but to comply. With an 'excuse my presumptuousness', he climbed on the bed which creaked at the weight of the two. The bed was originally designed only for one person to lay on and to add on top of it, Raphael's body frame was huge. As soon as he laid down, it was as if he sucked all of the space away, pushing Theodore's back to the wall. Lu Yizhou turned sideways and with a sigh, he pulled the teenager until he sprawled atop of him, head pressed against his chest and legs tangled with each other. "Are you comfortable now, Young Master?"

"H—Hmph! Your skin is so cold and your chest is hard!" Theodore fretted yet couldn't resist nuzzling his cheek closer, immersing himself in Raphael's scent and the rhythmic thump of his heartbeat. He felt Raphael's arms wrapped around his waist, bringing him to a more comfortable position. Theodore only hoped that Raphel wouldn't notice how fast his heart was beating however, his hope was instantly dashed when the man said,

"I can hear your heartbeat. Are you nervous?"

"Who said that I'm nervous?!" Theodore snapped his head up and his eyes instantly clashed with Raphael's silvery ones, half lidded and indolent, staring straight at him as if measuring his reaction. Once again, the knowledge that he was currently laying atop of Raphael's body seeped into his mind and his cheeks burned intensely. His breath hitched on his throat and he buried his head back into the man's shoulder, stressing. "Forget about that and sleep!"

A soft chuckle sounded above his head and Theodore gritted his teeth, enraged. He hit Raphael's shoulder with his fist which held no strength and then slowly took a lock of Raphael's hair, bringing it in front of his eyes in wonder. His eyelashes fluttered as sleepiness quickly crawled in. "I never asked you before, where did you come from?"

"Me?" Lu Yizhou answered lightly. "Somewhere far away."

"Then what about your family? Did you leave them behind?"

"I don't have a family."

Theodore paused and lifted his head to glance at Raphael's well defined jaw. "...Huh?"

"They died…" A hint of loss made its way into his voice. "...a long, long time ago."

Theodore stiffened and a word of apology almost came out of his mouth but his awful pride prevented him from doing so. He wasn't the type of person to sympathize with another but right now, he vividly felt his heart ache for this man whom he had only known for less than a month. He even found himself wishing that he could meet him sooner. Why? Why was Raphael always able to draw out feelings he had never known before? He cleared his throat in an attempt to disperse the tense atmosphere. "I'm sleepy."

"Then sleep." The man said with a voice that sounded much gentler than usual.

Theodore thought he wouldn't be able to sleep, considering how nervous and tense he was but as he felt Raphael softly patting his back and his calming presence, he easily succumbed to the darkness, feeling completely safe and secure.

...He had no idea that Lu Yizhou's eyes kept flickering in crimson. His fangs grew out, its sharp edges looked more dangerous than a knife.

[666: Host! Hold yourself back, Host!]

Lu Yizhou shut his eyes and pinched his brows. Theodore's neck was right beneath his palm and if he just dipped his head down, he would be able to taste the teenager's skin and pierce that soft, smooth nape with his fangs, drinking in his deliciously smelling blood. The vampire instinct in his body roared in seek of control and Lu Yizhou reigned it in as best as he could, his self control crumbling by the second.

Theodore was just full of vitality and vigor. And when his heart was beating fast, Lu Yizhou could clearly sense his throbbing veins and hear the blood coursing through his neck.

He wanted to drink...and also suck his life force.

He let out an inaudible gasp and bent his legs to suppress his excited member that was ready to charm its prey. The situation turned worse when Theodore suddenly stirred and reached out to hug his shoulders tighter, head buried deep into his neck as he inhaled deeply, his soft breath grazing Lu Yizhou's skin. The scent of roses in the room intensified, it was almost cloying. Fortunately, Theodore was out cold otherwise he would be intoxicated just with a sniff.

Lu Yizhou resigned to his fate and laid on the bed like a dead fish, eyes blankly staring up at the ceiling.

Life as a vampire...surely wasn't easy.

In the end, he resorted to downing three Effective Sleeping Pills just to catch a wink of sleep. But then he woke up even before dawn with still no change on his body. Glancing at the soundly sleeping Theodore, Lu Yizhou gently shifted his position and went to the bathroom to solve it himself.

666 whose screen was mosaicked yet again had no choice but to offer advice.

[666: Why don't you drink Theodore's blood a bit, Host? Just a little bit, you can even nip his fingertips only.]

[I can't.]

[666: Why?!! You're so stubborn!]

First, he didn't want to treat Theodore like food and second...he wasn't sure whether he could control himself if he tasted the teenager's blood once.

Rather than seeing Theodore get hurt by his own action, Lu Yizhou much preferred to starve himself.
