Chapter 7: Breaking and Entering Part 2, Theft, and Airport.

Damn, that is going to hurt later thought Solomon as he scrutinized Addo's unconscious body. Solomon left him there in his towel as he made his way through the entire house finally halting at a locked door.

"Alohomora," Solomon sent out the unlocking charm once again but this time it did not open. Attempting once more but with more concentration, Solomon commanded: Alohomora. With a click, the door opened.

As he made his way through Solomon took a look at the room. There were a few paintings on the furthest wall and a bunch of military medals. He made his way to one of the pictures where he saw a man in a military outfit, most likely Addo's father. Looking at the additional memorabilia, the man is highly decorated, were Solomon's thoughts. Under what appeared to be a recent photo of the man it read:

Kayin Mwanawa

Malian Army

Général de Brigadé

Fuck. This man was a major player in the Army and Solomon just broke into his home. Sweating a bit, Solomon looked around the chamber to see if there were any hidden cameras. After not locating any, Solomon erupted into laughter - hahaha hahaha.

He completely overlooked when and where he was. It was 1965 and in Mali of all places. Without the advancement of technology globally he did not have to worry about cameras for a few more decades.

Whew - getting the laughter out of his system, he began to explore the office more thoroughly. Through the search, he discovered a door within the wardrobe. If he did not take a second look at it Solomon would have missed the handle painted to look like the rear of the closest. Turning the handle a cold draft came from the opening. There he found a tunnel that was fairly dark and damped.

"Lumos," Solomon tossed the lightning charm, giving him a better view of the tunnel. It stretched far, as he was not able to see the end of it. Making his way through the tunnel, Solomon thought the entire thing was laughable from having the encounter with Addo to breaking into his home and now the tunnel; it's been a long day.

After roughly 4 minutes of walking, Solomon reached an opening where in front of him lay:

Money

Jewels

Weapons - with an assortment of Pistol, Rifles, and Ammunition.

Gold

Diamonds

And files upon files of paper.

*whistle* Solomon just struck the jackpot and stumbled into a villain's lair. Making his way to the file cabinets he combed through a few folders as they read:

Top Secret - Bombing of …

Top Secret - DGSE intelligence …

Classified - Military operation in …

Almost all of the files were blacked out and he could tell this was highly illegal to possess. Either these were copies of the records or the originals. Furthermore, the file on the French Secret Service was monumental. Not carrying about the rest Solomon had to make a decision, he could take everything down here or leave the case files. He debated a bit and decided to leave the files. He did not want Mr.Kayin shutting down the entire country and airport until the culprit was found. While leaving the files here, he can take the rest and gamble on Mr.Kayin not reporting to anyone as to why he had all of this in his home.

With a wave of his wand, he enlarged his suitcase to its regular size and opened it up. Solomon then willed his magic and with a quick wave of his wand he shouted, "Levis Est".

Levis Est - is a spell he found that worked to lighten an item to a feather while researching and practicing the levitation charm: Wingardium Leviosa. Taking an entire hour to transfer everything into his suitcase, he left the room empty with the exception of the files.

Solomon made his way back through the tunnel with haste. Taking time to go through everything now would not work as he was still in someone's house. As he arrived at the entrance of the tunnel he made sure to leave everything back the way it was. After leaving the office and locking it from the inside, he stood on top of Abbo, this time with much less animosity as Solomon earned a huge profit.

"Rennervate," Solomon chanted.

As Addo started to awaken Solomon disillusioned himself and made his way out via the garage door. With a smile plastered on his face, he left the gated community.

Solomon left the community a different man, a much richer man.

For the next few weeks, Solomon spent time going through all the spells he knew and upping the types of spells. From everyday spells to a few combat spells in his training room.

In addition, he kept an eye out for any news about a break-in or with Mr.Kayin. Hopefully, there would be no mention and he would leave the country without Mr.Kayin even knowing he lost everything.

Around 9 days before Christmas Solomon got his passport in the mail. It was a Friday afternoon when the driver came to the university, with a quick stunning spell and checking that day's mail he found the package.

With the passport in hand, Solomon took some of the money he stole to Zuri who cut him a ticket for the 23rd of December. With everything ready to go he spent the last 7 days exploring the city and keeping his mind off of things.

* * *

The sound of taxis honking, and people yelling to grab their bags could be heard all around Solomon as he got out of his cab. Grabbing his trunk Solomon made his way to the Royal Air Maroc area. Seeing the logo got Solomon thinking about his mother. As the airline was headquartered in Casablanca. He made his way to the attendant, that was helping people get checked in. As he was only carrying his suitcase he did not have any checked luggage.

Solomon made his way to the security checkpoint where he switched the trunk to the Muggle Setting. As the suitcase went through the scanner, Solomon went through the X-ray machine. With both he and his suitcase being cleared he proceeded to gate G9.

The wait for the flight was quite long as Solomon made sure to come earlier than the flight time. If anything went awry with the passport or suitcase. He would need time to work his magic.

" All boarding for Gate G9. We will start boarding, Please make sure to have all your luggage and anything you will need ready for boarding," a man's voice rang through the intercom.

With that Solomon lined up to board his trip, with one final check of his boarding pass Solomon made it onto the airplane. Finding his seat in the economy section as it would less likely draw attention as opposed to first class, Solomon found his seat in row 17.

A window seat to be precise as it was the best, the middle being the worst with no arm space, and the end coming in second as everyone leaving had to pass you. Taking out a less conspicuous spell book called "Natural Occulmens vs Occulmens written by Fedaruis Scott and Iman Amadi in 1433", the cover of the book was black with a white tree on it. Though the cover looked dull the content was the polar opposite.

It talked about two colleagues that delved into mind magic as one was a natural Occulmens and the other was a prodigy in mind magic as a whole. It documented the pros and cons of both and went even as to explain how to construct mind maps as they coined; making one's mind impenetrable. As the passengers got seated and the plane took off Solomon focused more on his surroundings. The seat next to Solomon was empty but at the end of the row there was an older woman named Sophia, she was a professor that was in Mali for a conference. He chatted a bit with her and later went back to reading.

About an hour later Solomon closed his book and relaxed his head on the window. He thought about his journey so far and about his mother. He prayed she was safe, he knew he was going further away from her, all the way to England. Though he denied it, Solomon knew he could not be of much help. As a child, he would be going into the jaws of a dragon with no information about what and why they were targeted. Solomon needed time to grow and to be safe till he could look for her…

As Solomon was in his reflections, his eyes wandered out of the airplane. Glancing at the fluffy and inviting clouds he floated into sleep.
