Ashen has been in the magic academy for over two years now, yet, his magic skills remain as bad as when he first got there. He is ranked as one of the lowest magic users in the whole academy. He is constantly bullied because of this even his mates and some of his juniors boss him around.


Tired of this miserable life, he saved enough to buy himself a new and popular magical wand rumoured to improve one's magic. 


At the market, a sudden turn of events stirs him towards a different path, one that Ashen isn't convinced is completely safe and free from danger when he unexpectedly becomes the sole owner of the only dragon egg in existence.

A Gift of Fire

At first, Ashen had been sure that he would be able to wake up very early the next morning. Unfortunately, not only did he sleep through the entire morning, and the various knocks on his door which didn't in any way stir him awake. He was already about to sleep through his afternoon when the innkeeper decided that he could no longer keep quiet.

Ashen looked very young and had also been dressed in a cleaner manner than his usual customers which were why the innkeeper felt the need to pay extra attention to him. Even If he were to die, at least there was a higher chance that some people would be looking for him. That way he would be able to get a reward.

"Hey…" The innkeeper screamed in a loud voice while knocking heavily on Ashen's door, having taken a quick break from the counter which he was impatient to get back into.
