CHAPTER 24
As soon as I was done putting the goblin's body in the storage ring I picked up my sword and immediately moved out to find another monster to fight.
♦
I was searching cautiously for a lone monster I can take on, and quite some time have passed but I still didn't find any lone monster.
I was starting to feel down not being able to fight any monsters for so long but As I was about to take another step I felt cold air blowing at my right cheek and the enhanced senses that I gained from my level up as well as the instincts I've developed over the time of my veteran years, screamed at me.
My body quickly moved on its own pulling my head back and then turning it right, dodging an attack by an unknown figure bolting at me at an incredible speed aiming for my head, by a hairsbreadth.
Nonetheless, blood still spurted from my cheek but my lips were curved up.
I touched my cheek staining my fingers with a slight of my blood and looked at it.
"It's been a long time since I saw this much of my blood" I said in amusement.
Then I looked at the one who wounded me.
It was a rather cute bunny with a sheen green colored belly, arms, and legs.
A slime-colored fur like a scarf on its neck a tail composed of lushed hair the same color as its scarf.
A pair of big and strong legs and a sharp and deadly crimson blade for a horn protruding from its cute and furry little head, and a pair of murderous eyes completely different from its cute form staring at me like it found its prey.
"Oh, I've finally found a monster or the monster found me? Well, whatever now that You've seen my blood... let me see yours!" I said with a crazed smile before unsheathing my sword and running at the rabbit thirsty for blood.
But before I could have the chance to get near it the bunny put to use its strong legs to move at a high speed jumping from tree to tree increasing its speed every second.
"Heh~ seems like your legs ain't for show aye?" I said amusedly.
I looked everywhere hoping to spot the rabbit but my eyes couldn't keep up with it since it was jumping everywhere from tree to tree at high speeds.
Ah! I remember now this monster... It's called a Blade rabbit it's a monster that mastered the art of surprise hunting its prey by ambushing them due to its way of hunting it evolved to have a fur that changes based on the color of the terrain it's in, helping it to blend in the surroundings giving it a higher hunting success rate using its sharp and deadly horns as its weapon to impale anyone clueless enough to set foot in its hunting ground.
This is probably its hunting ground considering that this spot is surrounded by a lot of trees giving it a geographical advantage and making its hunts easier and more effective.
