Aiko's Friend Kamina Part 3

CHAPTER 32

-

"Calm down now, it wasn't even that impressive," I said smiling wryly.

"What are you talking about L-Laiya? It's super impressive It felt great." She argued.

"Well, if you say so but it only felt great because I didn't only heal your fever but every affliction you had like fatigue and tiredness etc."

"How cool." She said with slight admiration making me smile.

As Kami and I talked I realized that Aiko had been silent till now so I checked up on her.

I was surprised when I looked at her because she was twitching with a depressed face it's as if she wanted to say something but couldn't say it, is she curious about how good it feels to be healed? Or maybe...

"Hm? What happened Aiko? Why are you gloomy all of a sudden?" Kami asked Aiko worriedly preceding me Before I could say anything to Aiko.

Aiko opened her mouth but no words came out but then she closed her mouth.

"It's nothing." She said smiling but her gloominess was still visible in her eyes.

( How obvious. ) I thought smiling helplessly Kami also seems to notice it.

All of a sudden Kami broke into a giggle surprising me and Aiko.

"What's up with that so obvious lie Aiko? are you even trying?" Kami teased Aiko while giggling making Aiko haumph and sulk cutely.

"Now now don't be mad Aiko I can't help it you're so fun to tease after all." Kami consoled Aiko still laughing...

" *Haumph* You're just the same with Sir Laiya always teasing me." Aiko haumped and looked away from Kami

Kami and I looked at each other in surprise before we both broke into giggles.

"So even you Sir Laiya love to tease Aiko I mean Laiya." She said messing up my name.

"Yeah, I do." I replied laughing for the last time before also consoling Aiko.

"So, what happened? Aiko" I asked her gently

"Nothing..."

"Com'n now you need to try a lot harder if you want to fool me," I smiled helplessly. "So just tell me what's up."

She looked at me and hesitated before looking away thinking.

"I..." Finally, after 15 seconds or so of silence that seemed like forever, she finally decided on something and mustered up the courage to say something.

"I also want to call Sir Laiya... Without the honorifics...." She said timidly and shyly while covering her mouth with her hands in embarrassment.

"I refuse." I turned down what she had proposed the instant she finished talking with pure confidence and certainty that it made a tear fall down from her eyes before a waterfall poured out as she cried out loud.

"S-Sir Laiya... doesn't want to be friends with me... I should have known... there is no way someone as low as me can be friends with someone as great as Sir Laiya..." She said spasming every time she said another word while wiping her bucket full of tears that seemed unending as she cried out loud.

Kami looked at me very disappointed before

Comforting Aiko.
