Chapter 3

Precious's P.O.V

After a few classes and it was a great start to college, there was no bullying or anything that made me to hate college on the first day. The best part was that I bumped into the most handsome boy earlier and the fact that he was busy glancing at me in class today was like a cherry on top. I couldn't wait to tell Angela about him.

I waited for Angela at the bus stop and as always, she was delayed by something where she was or maybe she had found a new boyfriend and she was still saying bye to him. At long last she arrived.

"Will you ever arrive in time in your lifetime?" I asked.

She just laughed without replying my question because she knew how strict I was when it came to time.

"I was bored by this boy who was debating about werewolves in my class, you also want to bore me," I said.

"I'm sorry friend," she replied "why are you so grumpy?"

Without a word coming out of my mouth I just glanced at her and remained in silent.

"This is why I always said that you need a boyfriend," Angela said "Precious, you are twenty years old, before you know it you will be a thirty-year-old virgin."

"Do you always have to bring this up?" I sighed.

"No, but you need to live a little girl," she replied.

I glanced at my wrist watch ignoring Angela's lecture about me being a virgin and me being old enough to lose it. The bus was taking than expected and I had to endure Angela's stories for the next hour. As we were standing there waiting for the bus, a Mustang 5.0 GT came towards us roaring like most these do. To my surprise the car stopped in front of us and Angela glanced at me then I made an eye contact with the driver. I couldn't see him properly so I looked carefully and it was the boy I bumped into earlier.

He got out of the car at my sight and Angela secretly held my hand as gesture to say this is your chance to get a boyfriend.

"It seems like we bump into each other a lot today," he said.

"Yeah, I guess," I replied.

"It's funny that we bumped into each other earlier and we were in the same class but we still don't know each other." he said.

"I'm Precious and this is Angela, she's my friend," I replied.

"I'm Joshua but call me Josh," he said "where are you guys going, I can give you a ride."

"Yes please!" Angela said before I could refuse.

Angela knew that I was going to refuse so she had to jump and take the offer because she just wanted to ride in a ford mustang. I glanced at Angela and at this point she knew that I was going to say anything to make him go away as I always did when boys approached us back in high school.

"We were actually waiting for a bus; we are heading to the township," I replied.

"I can drop you off," he said.

"Come on friend," Angela begged me.

If I said that I wasn't tempted to get into his car I'd be lying and as this perfect masculine man stood right in front of me, I realized that for ones in my life I agreed with Angela when she always said that I needed a boyfriend but, in my case, I needed the one that was standing in front of me offering to take me home.

"Listen to your friend," Josh said "the bus is probably stuck somewhere back there, let me give you a ride home."

"Okay then," I replied "only if you're taking us home nowhere else."

"Okay," Josh replied as he opened the door for me and Angela.

I sat on the passenger seat while Angela sat at the backseat and Josh started his engine then sped away from the bus stop. A text alert rang on my phone and I glanced at it, and it was Angela's text. I glanced at her as she looked back at me with a smile, and I know that it was one of her silly text messages.

"He likes you," I read the text.

She sent another as I was trying to ignore her.

"Start a conversation with him, it's awkward in here," I read the text.

I switched of the data on my phone because I knew that she was going to continue texting and texting until I said something.

"So, Josh," Angela finally said "do you have a girlfriend?"

I looked out the window feeling a little bit embarrassed by Angela but I was eager to hear what Josh's answer was going to be.

"Nah, not really," Josh replied.

"What do you mean not really?" Angela asked "Is there a girl or not?"

"No, I don't have a girlfriend," Josh replied.

Angela glanced at me "perfect," she said.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Josh asked Angela.

"The one sitting next to you has no boyfriend," Angela pointed at me.

This is where it was going and Angela just wanted to push Josh towards me with her words. Josh looked at me as I looked back at him, and I really couldn't get over his well-positioned cerulean eyes and his well-shaped masculine body.

"So, you don't have a boyfriend?" he asked me.

"I've never had one," I replied.

"I'd love to know you more," he said "can I take you out this weekend?"

"Uhm, can I decide first?" I asked.

"Sure, you still have a few days," he said.

I nodded and deep down I was now glad that Angela came with her tricks because it this going the direction, I wanted it to go.
