“Listen dummy, I am so sorry,” I said “for pushing you away and making feel like I don’t appreciate you enough.”
Without a word being said, Angela just turned and hugged me. Angela was mostly a hugger in emotional situations.
“It’s okay,” she whispered in my ear “I love you dummy.”

A Rare Precious Breed

"Mom, tell me this is not true," I said.


Mom just continued sobbing, while my dad looked at me in silence.


"You people are all the same," I sighed "full of lies and deception, all my life I thought that I was his kid and you've been lying in my face?"


"It was his idea," mom pointed at my dad "he can't have children, so he had me to sleep with your uncle."


My heart dropped to my stomach, I gasped with not knowing what to say.


"I wanted to protect my kingdom," dad said.


"All you care about is the kingdom and the throne, Dan," mom replied with a disgusted look on her face "you never cared about me, or anyone else."


"I was doing all this for you," he yelled.


"I can't do this anymore," I said as I walked away.


My dad held my hand preventing me from leaving the room, I stopped and yanked my hand away from him. Realizing that I was angry, he let my hand go.


"Listen, son," he said "whatever you, please don't tell Bas about this."
