"Question!" Nora raised her hand obediently, "What are Half-plane Fragments?"
"It's a space," Aske explained. "There are multiple-dimensional spaces in the universe, similar to this book in my hands. The main world space we're in is like one page in the book. Although the pages are closely bound together, they are parallel to each other, and as two-dimensional figures on the pages, we don't have the ability to cross into a higher dimension to reach another page."
"However, sometimes two parallel dimensions overlap," he demonstrated by bending two pages and making their edges join. "That way, we can move from one page to another, that is, from one space to another. Each space is a plane; some smaller spaces are half-planes. If torn apart by external forces, the smaller pieces that result are Half-plane Fragments. This book is the key to that Half-plane Fragment, an anchor to that space."
