The charm of a new place is its people and its culture. And this was what Alfin was enjoying at the moment while sitting in a restaurant and having a full meal with others in his group.


Due to the long journey, his host in Decidue had booked a room in a prestigious hotel for the group stay, whose food was mind-blowing.


Or it was so according to the standards of a city cut off from the world.


Alfin won't lie, even though the food lacked some spices that he was so used to, it was made up by the variety of desserts present in this city. Being surrounded by forest and a giant hole in the middle of the city had made it so that the berries and mushrooms were found in abundance in this place. Making it a complete heaven for mushroom lovers of all kinds.


Even the kinds that Alfin used to be one.


But that was past and now it was a different matter altogether. The lack of meat and dairy irked him a bit, but he was also able to enjoy some of the unique mushroom milk.
