Chapter Twenty-Two — I have a plan!

After the epigrammatic meeting with Vice Principal Jensen and the two girls, it was time to go to the sports ground. Jemima and her three friends were sauntering to the sports ground before the chatty Caitlyn opened up a discussion about Erika and Roxanna, the sports coordinators.

"Who are Roxanna and Erika? Are they nice people?" Jemima asked with confusion carved on her doll face. She was still a neophyte and didn't know much people in the high school. She didn't want to get into mean people as she already have one – Desha and her bloc.

Caitlyn chuckled before she exhaled resignedly. "Roxanna and Erika are the chief sports coordinators in Skye Evander High School." She thought for a long time before letting another sentence slip from her mouth. "They are just curmudgeons so don't bother yourself."

"True! Those girls are something else. They're just sour pusses!" Shelbie added. There was a glint of fury that sparked in her eyes but it went away quickly.

Jemima could only gulp in confusion. She didn't understand a thing. "I still don't understand."

"Of course, you won't. You're still a neophyte. Don't worry, with time you'll be thick-skinned. This high school…" Caitlyn began to taunt again. She was so irritating and Jemima could only nod her head when Caitlyn looked up to her for answers.

"You mean that they're authoritative like tyrants." Jemima chipped in with her angelic voice. She was so innocent and cute that one could melt at the sight of her alluring beauty.

Shelbie nodded. "Exactly!"

Taunting Caitlyn: "They don't even smile at all. I can't even tell when last they laughed or even smiled. Goodness!" The other girls laugh including Jemima.

"You know some people are naturally like that." Jemima corrected. Indeed, some people were like that. Maybe, because they lacked attention from loved ones and that made them feel so cold towards people. "They may be opaque, difficult, impenetrable and tightly packed but in veracity, they have the softest hearts."

"True!" The other girls muttered.

After a long while, nobody talked as they were still sauntering to the sports ground when something unusual captivated their attention. It was more of magical and words could not explain or describe the radiating vibrating force.

It was Desha Sinclaire. She seemed to be talking to someone but the curious girls could not hear the discussion properly despite the short distance between them and the magical scene. Jemima could hear them but the noise emanating from the force ruined it all while Shelbie was reading their lips. She could possibly understand some words.

After the force died down and Desha whisked away without a trace. The thick black mist that surrounded Desha and the person was no longer there. It was as if nothing really happened. There was actually more to who Desha was.

'Who the hell was she talking to?! And what was their discussion?' These thoughts popped out in the curious girls' minds.

"I couldn't get much info! F*ck!" cursed Shelbie. She loathed missing out important information, and in such a critical case like that of Desha, she felt like going on a rampage.

"Me too. I couldn't hear properly due to the noise from that force." Jemima chipped in. "It's like she's scheming and plotting against someone."

"Someone like who?!" Khloé shrieked. She was just tired of getting herself entangled in cases that had to do with Desha. Everyone knew that Desha was not an ordinary human being. Her father was the liege of the gangland and netherworld, the potentate of the black powers so that meant that the Sinclaire family was not ordinary.

'No one messes with the Sinclaires' and go unpunished!' Mr. Levi, the head of the Sinclaire Family would always yell.

"Someone distinctive and stately 'cause I could sense their utmost fear if they don't kill this person." Shelbie explained. "And this person that Desha wants to terminate is not ordinary, there must be something that sparked this whole lot."

Caitlyn's eyes were exuding fear. Her knees quavered when Shelbie said all those things. "Then let us save her! She might be in danger…and she might not know all of these." She spurted out.

The other girls mumbled some words that Caitlyn could not hear. Of course, they were reluctant to save the girl. The last time they tried going on against Desha and her schemes, things didn't go well with them – nightmares and hallucinations. It all ended when they apologized to the Croesus daughter, Desha.

"We are THE RESOLUTE! Nothing can shake us, why are we trembling just because of some daughter of a bitch?" Caitlyn stormed.

Jemima was not happy seeing the girls quaver. Moreover, the girl Desha was planning to destroy and terminate might be in danger just as Caitlyn assumed. Were they going to save themselves from trouble and watch a girl die just like that? And this girl wasn't ordinary.

"Why don't we save this girl?" Jemima spurted out. There was bravery etched on her face and no hint of fear could be smelt in her. The girls looked at her in shock and their mouths were partly open.

Khloé then screamed out of shock, "What!"

"Do you know what you're trying to do? You're just a tenderfoot!" Shelbie warned. "Her father is the ruler of the underworld. He wields the black forces."

"So?" Jemima asked lazily. She was not scared like the other girls. "I'm not scared, okay?"

The other girls shook their head in shock. Jemima was trying to save this girl from danger and here she was risking her own life. The time they tried saving a lost boy from Desha's grip, they ended up having gruesome nightmares.

"All right! I have a plan." Said Caitlyn. There was a very horrid smirk on her lips.

"Okay, what's the plan?" Shelbie asked as the other girls looked up to her.
