Chapter Twenty-Six — Reordering The Plan

AT THE MYSTERIOUS CHÂTEAU

"Back to business!" Kaliope harrumphed. Desha pulled off her gaze from Kaliope and muttered 'sorry'. Kaliope nodded and looked at the nonchalant Ashe. Ashe repeated the same incomprehensible words and Kaliope narrowed her eyes. "Undeniably the settled dust have blown up again…Oh no! She's back…"

"What's happening?" Desha asked the two ladies. They both turned to look at her, her eyes peering at both of them.

"It's a long story." Ashe muttered. "A very long story."

Desha could only gulp. Of course, she loved listening to stories but not at the moment. "So what do we do?"

"Exactly!" Kaliope said happily. "Follow me!" She led straight away to another great hall that led to dissimilar chambers.

"Do you live here, all by yourself? No friends or group, no maids or guards, no butler and personal maid or something like that?" Desha asked her as she walked along with them.

"Nope! This is my place of work, I have my own house but it's very far away from here. Maybe I could call you over one day so that we can have tea together."

"Okay!" Desha nodded. She was being too obedient now. She didn't talk anyhow. She asked polite and reasonable questions. "So where are we going to?"

"You'll know very soon." Ashe retorted back to Desha and the young teen gulped further. Was Ashe jealous 'cause she also reeked of jealousy and anger too.

They walked from one chamber to another, staircase to another, underground passageway to another and they finally reached their destination. Desha wondered why they had to make such a long walk like that since they could teleport.

Finally they were there, it was a chamber that had gothic brick walls. Two antiquated knights stood at the entrance like statues. Kaliope just waved and the entrance doors flew open and they walked in. Two lit chandeliers welcomed Desha and guess what? They were talking and moving freely like humans. That frightened Desha to the core. Desha's eyes popped out when she heard their little beatific voices.

"The chandeliers just talked to me right now." Desha said between her gritting teeth. She was shaking like a rat beaten in the rain.

Ashe turned around and sneered angrily. "Of course they talk. Everything in here talks so stop behaving like that…" She waved to the chandeliers and the chandeliers went back to the position up at the ceiling.

"I told you that I am the most powerful and the oldest sorceress alive." Kaliope said to Desha and ignored Ashe. "Hmm, this is the most valuable chamber in my château. In here lies so many ancient mysteries and secrets. So chillax and feel at home."

Kaliope smiled genially, turned around and moved to the gothic-like shelves. After flipping thru some manuscripts and scrolls, she brought forth an aged large hardcover book. She opened it and all the sepia papers were blank. She whispered some inaudible spells and a tiny writing appeared on the sepia papers.

"She's right." Kaliope said to Ashe. "Ximena is back. She's back for vengeance. She came in a more mighty way, a lot is really gonna happen so we need to prepare in advance."

Ashe clenched her fist, she was now angry and the red pigment in her eyes became darker than ever. "I watched Ximena die before my very eyes. I tormented every part of her, limb by limb and bone by bone. We need to silence the dust again." She slammed her tight fist on the nearby table. The jugs and cups fell down and screamed in pains.

"Do you know this girl very well?" Kaliope asked Desha and Desha nodded.

"Of course I know her. She's my classmate. Her name is Jemima, she's from Eridan…" Desha started to describe but Kaliope interrupted.

"Does she have purple eyes? Is she fair-skinned? Does she have ash blonde hair?" Kaliope asked. She was looking probingly at her but Desha thought that the sylphlike figure wanted to frighten her. Desha nodded in fear. That figure knew how to instill eternal fear in someone.

Desha boasted confidently. "There's no need to be scared. I already have things mapped out. In less than two weeks, I'll bring her to this château."

"How sure are you? When you can't even touch her? You can't even kill her. This girl is more powerful than you, more powerful than your poppa and his black forces." Kaliope strewn her plans and Desha became sullen. "Don't be too surprised on how I know? Still remember that I am the most powerful sorceress."

"I'm not killing her. I'll just abduct her and bring her over here." Desha enlightened the sylphlike figure. "So tell me, how can I contact you when I successfully abduct her?"

Kaliope pulled up an evil smirk on her face. Her eyes were glowing of different dark colors. Her ankle-length hair now grew longer and swept the ground as she walked. "How sure are you that you will be successful in kidnapping her?"

"Hundred percent!" Desha smiled. "I already have things planned out, with the help of the Teacube Triplets and the Sunset Flirts."

She paused again after thinking deeply. "With their help, I'm already successful. I was planning to sell her to the slave institute who will in turn sell her to the wicked man ever known, Young Major Kyle but I think I'll have to reshuffle my plans."

"Nice!" Kaliope complimented with a sincere smile on her lips. She broke a golden locket, strung it in a chain and wore it on her Desha's neck. "You can use this to talk to me. Just rub it and talk to it, I can hear you from here and vice-versa."

Desha nods optimistically. She was feeling too happy. In soon or no time, Jemima will be out of her way and her stolen favors will be restored back to her.

'How fortunate!' she thought as she giggled evilly.
