Chapter Thirty-Two ― Just Take Us To the Olden Rosette Street…

Still At The Ballroom

In Skye Evander High School

Kitty and Dawn who were still in the ballroom could sense that something was truly amiss. A student had noticed the absence of Jemima and soon Skye Evander High School will. It would be a very colossal catastrophe to The Sunset Flirts so in order to escape such catastrophe, they had to run away and confront Desha to quickly release Jemima and her friends.

Dawn sat on the chair with her chin resting on her palm, her temple creased with worry and her lips pouted in fear. Her mind was filled with millions of thoughts and her head was banged with relentless headaches.

"What do we do now because I'm so dumb at the moment?" Dawn breathed. She looked so exhausted and famished too. Her kinky hair was unruly and the crinkles on her face were visible. She didn't have time for a quick make-up.

"Let's just go look for her and bring her back before anybody notices her absence." Kitty, her other partner advised. She looked far worse than Dawn. She looked like a skeletal human because her bones were popping out. One could stay from a far place and still see the visibly boney structure of Kitty.

As the two were deliberating, Kitty's phone rang. The ringtone was so loud and exasperating and Kitty feared that anyone would suspect them especially with their waitress garments on so she picked the call quickly and lowered her voice.

The other party who called was Tristan, one of the Teacube Triplet but Desha snatched the phone in a second. Her voice was extremely annoying that Kitty was wondering for a second if that of a proud peacock was better than hers.

"Where are you girls? Don't tell me you are still at the high school! Hurry up and get your fat asses over here! You girls are trying to ruin my exquisite plans, right? Just know that it won't work so get your asses over here and let's continue with our business! I can see that you girls don't want your cash so if you really do, come down here at the place we agreed to meet!"

Kitty couldn't tolerate keeping the phone near her ear so she drew some distance between the phone and her ear but the girl's angry outburst continued. It seemed like she had stored up more than enough anger and now wanted to vent it out on the girls as she could no longer keep it or store up more.

"If you guys can't really come down here then I'll send a chauffeur to come pick you girls up! So brace up yourselves! Nonsense!" Desha hung up. Kitty who was there didn't say a thing from the start of the call till the end. She was still speechless and even Dawn, she heard the Croesus' daughter very well despite the distance.

"We'll wait for the chauffeur." Dawn told Kitty. The two girls sneaked out of the ballroom again but they were so close to being caught by the sleuthing robots. They managed to sneak past the janitors that were guarding the gates. To them, that wasn't easy because the janitors nearly did a thorough searching on the car.

The gates opened when a red Mercedes Benz drove out and the girls used the opportunity to also roll out with the car and that was how they sneaked out of the high school.

As the girls rolled out, another black vehicle was packed there and they could see the waiting familiar man that carried Desha around so they entered the car without thinking twice. He was just wearing a vest that had an illustration of smokey skull and bones which was garbed with a pair of khaki shorts. The outfit couldn't hide the well-defined muscles so he looked very hefty and intimidating to other people. After all, he gave out such vibes and the air around him was suffocating.

"Halloo!" The man greeted with a sweet smirk on his lips. "My boss' daughter, Desha, instructed me to tell you girls to brace up yourselves for the upcoming punishments she has outlined. She also said some other things that I could not remember so just prepare yourself…" There was a hint of worry and care in his voice, as if he had experienced Desha's punishments before and he actually did.

The two girls didn't care one bit and they just hummed a reply to show that they understood and complied with his words.

"Just take us to the Olden Rosette Street, your boss' daughter told us to come over to the arranged place so she's waiting for us." There was a glimmer of sarcasm in Dawn's voice as she ordered the chauffeur. "And please, step on the pedal. I want to reach there in less than five minutes." There was now seriousness in the tone of her voice. What a suave flow in altering the tone of her voice.

"Uh! The Olden Rosette Street! But you know that's impossible…" muttered the chauffeur. "It takes up to half an hour to get there. You know how creepy the place can be?"

Kitty rolled her eyes nonchalantly and her slinky voice surged in, "Uh-huh, we know so that's why we are telling you to get us there in less than five minutes. You know how the roads of Evander work, their twists and turns and everything, Mr. Lucian. So driving us there in less than five minutes is certainly nothing but a normal routine junk to you."

Kitty's voice flowed like a very sweet honey that was combined slickly with such garden-fresh and lip-smacking milk which really swayed the chauffeur. In order to push her luck more, she fluttered her long eyelashes and gave out a sweet smile that almost turned the chauffeur into jelly. She gave out that feline vibe and aura that could make one fall for her quickly.

"Alright!" The chauffeur whose real name turned out to be Mr. Lucian grinned malevolently. People addressed him as 'Mr. Chauffeur' but Kitty called him his real name out and that also softened the man's tough heart that he agreed without giving it a thorough thought.
