A Dream{Chapter 0}

Current Time: [:Monday 27th of September 2010.:]

Prologue:[An explosion occurred, Taking out the entire Center of the island's capital city "Passaway Euphoria". Destroying homes, establishments, and so on. Slaughtering countless civilians who were unfortunately caught in the blast. Military Forces were sent in to assess the current state of the city and to rescue every and any survivors.]

At [11:34]am after the explosion. Squadrons of military forces and recuse teams were sent to the city by use of helicopters, since the roads were covered in huge rocks and debris, it would be improbable or unreasonable to use any form of road transport. They were sent to evaluate the situation, rescue, and deport as many lives as possible. Everyone had to work together to save what was left of the citizens.

"Quick, bring a stretcher for this person!" A man in a soldier's uniform shouted.

He found yet another survivor in all the rubble. As requested by the soldier, a team of paramedics rushed to aid the injured individual, hoisting the wounded person onto a stretcher. One of them checked the wounded survivor's heart rate.

"He has a pulse!" The female paramedic shouted in solace.

Though they were delighted that he was alive, they were deeply disturbed. The man seemed to be missing his face, all they could see was his skull and the muscle structure, even his eyeballs seemed to be missing. One could say that the skin on his face had been scraped clean off. Horrific...

"God, Another one with a fucked up face… What kind of demon would do this to people?" One of the paramedics said out loud, he was too disgusted to hide his thoughts and emotions on all this.

"Hey, that's a person ya' know. How would you like it if people talked like that about's you? Huh?" The other paramedic replied defensively.

They carried the wounded soul and placed him in a lane alongside many others who had suffered the same fate as him. It was a long line of people covered in blood and bandages from head to toe, their faces got the worst of it. Never before had the city of "Passaway Euphoria" suffered such fatalities like this in decades.

Soldiers were running in and out of the rubble, leading small teams of paramedics to the injured and likely crushed or for worst, corpses. Meanwhile teams of M.C.I.Sc (Military Crime Investigation Services Crops.) was taking in every detail of the scene. It was a grim site to see.

Currently, the time was [12:56]pm,

The Commander of the group of soldiers in that general area could only let out a sigh of defeat before turning to one of the soldiers for a status report.

"Sir." The cadet began. "The Lukus Squad with the help of our local paramedics, have managed to find up to 264 survivers in the northern side of this district, And as for the Zachary squad they have discovered nothing but dead bodies in the western region of "Passaway Euphoria". So far the threat has not been identified, Sir! "

"For the 246 survivors, were any of their faces gone?" The Commander asked with much bitterness in his voice.

"No sir, rather it seemed that they were all somewhat impaled in numerous areas. Not to mention the skin burns, sir!" The cadet saluted, he had concluded his report.

"Join the rest of the division, find as many people as possible. And if you see anything strange.." The Commander narrowed his eyes as he looked the soldier in the eyes as he did, with a low downcast but stern deep voice, he said. "Make sure to report back to me immediately. Until then await my orders."

"SIR, YES SIR" The cadet gave a salute once more and was about to leave until the Commander stopped him.

"Hold it, cadet…. The dead people. Did they have any faces?"

"Yes sir! Relatively their bodies were battered and bruised to the point that it was incredibly difficult to make out any distinct features, sir! You can even say that that specific area aside from the center of this city was targeted, Sir!"

[13:02]pm

The head of the paramedics approached the Commander, She was a red-headed slim french young woman of the age of 27, She was about 5'5 feet tall while wearing heels that gave her 2 more inches of height. She had on a face mask followed by transparent rubber gloves accompanied by a white lab coat, finishing off with specialized goggles to complete the whole "scientists" look.

"So commander, so far we've managed to find and save over 10,000+ people out of 462,000+ citizens of this here city." She chuckled "Oh, how this great city has fallen."

The Commander cringed, it was already killing him that he could not detain the culprit and now this woman has come to pour salt onto his wounds. "What a bitch, a sadistic bitch." He thought.

Noticing the sheer disgust on the commander's face, She decided to switch conversations. She let out a small cough as if to lighten the heavy atmosphere before speaking.

"Anyway Commander, we noticed some strange things about the survivers and as well as the corpses,-"

"-You mean the dead-eyed look they have, gaping into oblivion?" The Commander interrupted, he sounded irritated as he spoke.

"No.." She pushed up her goggles and pulled down her face mask, to make it easier for her to be heard, revealing her pretty, freckled face with green emerald eyes. "Aside from that...We've noticed that the remaining survivors who still have their faces, all seem to have the same expression on their faces." She said slowly with a bit of creepiness inserted in her vocals, "Completely...petrified!"

"Yeah, I'd be scared shitless too if all that deviation happened in just a manner of seconds." The commander immediately added in a sardonic manner.

"You don't understand," She attempted to rephrase her words. "they don't respond to anything you do or say to them. And their temperature is below the normal human temp. Not normal." She clicked her tongue and shook her head.

"You know, now that you mention it.. many of my men have complained about the temperature of the people they've found.."

"Oh yes, there are two more important facts to take into consideration." She adjusted her gloves. "The survivors who still have their faces, all seem to be muttering out random things."

"And what do they say?" He turned to her, quite intrigued.

She chuckled, "That's the thing! It's backwards talk really, I can't understand a single thing they say."

"Alright.. and what was the second fact.." The commander said, this time with a raised eyebrow as if questioning her sanity at this point.

Suddenly she became very serious. Lowering her head as she did, it gave her somewhat of a dark tint on her face, making her look preferably ominous than serious. "The people with no faces… They have-"

"Commander! Commander!"

One of the cadets ran up to the Commander, holding onto his stomach as he stumbled with each step he took, until finally falling at the feet of the Commander. He wore a very disturbed look on his face, he looked as if the blood had been drained from his body.

"What is it, soldier?!"

The Commander knelt on one knee next to the soldier.

"Sir..sir a kid.. a blue-haired kid."

The soldier was bleeding from his stomach, his stomach had been gauged out. He couldn't finish his report, his body had already given out.

"Oh my, oh my.." The head paramedic clicked her tongue as she knelt with both knees next to the soldier.

"At least he still has his face." She said in a joking manner.

"Are you nuts woman! I just watched one of my men die, right in front of my eyes, and you're here making fucked up jokes!?" The Commander was furious, he had fiery red eyes with a very grim yet dangerous look on his face. Gritting his teeth together, he waited for more of her "Funny" remarks.

Truth be told, the paramedic was lucky she was female, otherwise, she would have had a face full of fists.

"Commander. Chill!" She said while waving her hands in front of her defensively. "It wasn't much of a joke." She turned her attention back to the soldier, turning him on his back so she could inspect his wounds, as she did, she saw a big gaping hole in his stomach. She became completely horrified by the site, this was not new for her for she has dealt with much worse conditions, but for some reason, this particular case made her skin crawl. Despite her wanting to throw up, she kept her cool.

"Christ, whatever did this must have had a grudge." She said while checking the rest of his other body parts. "Oh surprise, surprise! His temperature is below 32°!" She said with a sweet sarcastic tone, this was her way of calming herself down, sure it's a twisted form of replacing catharsis therapy....But, it would have to do.

"Mother fucker!" The Commander shouted in a fit of rage as he stood up. Clenching his fists by his side, he looked up into the sky to think, laying his eyes on the grey, smoke-filled sky. He grimaced. He didn't know which one made him more pissed off, knowing full well that the "genocidal maniac" is still out there or that this woman keeps making "death jokes". He was lost in his trail of thought until another cadet came rushing to him from the north side of the city while yelling.

"Engage the artillery barrage!!! I repeat an animosity is heading in this location!! Engage! Engage!! " The soldier seemed to be running away from something while carrying one of her comrades on her back, she was bleeding from her forehead but the man on her back seemed to be in much worse circumstances.

"An unknown ''Entity'' is heading in this direction in 5 - Mike's from now!!! ENGAGE!!!!" She screamed in a screeching tone, her voice echoed throughout the whole area, basically alerting anyone and everyone on the scene.

"You heard the girl, men!!! Prepare to fire on my mark!!" The Commander yelled out with much tenacity in his voice. Every man and woman scrambled to get to their assigned positions, as firearms and artilleries were being loaded, ready to free fire at any given order, pointing in the northern direction of the city, awaiting for the Commanding officer's command.

"Quickly everyone! Take all the survivors now turned refugees into the helicopters! We as the Islands MEDEVAC are the last line of defense for the injured!" The Redheaded paramedic said with much excitement, she picked up the wounded soldier who had a hole in his stomach, slumped him on her back, and began running towards the direction of the helicopters. Never before did anyone see a woman in heels move so quickly. As soon as possible they loaded the helicopters with the refugees, including the injured and the desist.

"Help!" One of the paramedics cried. It appears that he had gotten his leg caught in a margin of two huge rocks. Unfortunately, helicopters had already begun takeoff and time was running out.

"Please help me!!" He shouted while trying his hardest to pull his leg free from the huge rocks, but alas, it was no use. If he kept struggling, it won't be long before his legs get crushed together.

"Gaahhh!!"

A soldier cried as he lifted the rocks off the paramedic's leg. "There!" He dusted himself off. "What the fuck do you think you're doing dumbass!? It's ''NOW" you decide to get your leg stuck??" The soldier said as he put the paramedic's arm around his shoulder, while at the same time cupping his free arm around the paramedic's waist in order to support him. Quickly, he carried him towards the helipads, where the paramedic would wait for the next arrival of the MEDEVAC, alongside other refugees and worried paramedics.

[13:33]

"Sir! Should we inform the rest of the other units of opening fire, sir!"

"Of course, Private!" The Commander shouted at the soldier In a fit of annoyance. He stood facing the northern side of the city with both arms behind his back, anxiously awaiting for whatever was going to come out.

"I've been waiting for you asshole! Get ready to eat bullets!" The Commander thought with a sleek smile taking shape on his lips.

"Get ready to open fire on em' men! This is gonna be the fight for humanity!!" The soldiers let out war cries, they were about to face one of the island's greatest threats, if not the world's greatest threat.

From a distance they could see some kind of being with a staggering colossal height, omitting black energy from every fraction of its body, it had no face, however, it did have a mouth. Even from its far distance, they could see its chilling ear-to-ear grin. The thing was creeping closer, and as it did the Commander raised his arm, sending signals to the rest of the division to get ready to open fire. As the entity got closer, the Commander suddenly froze in fear, what was unaware to the Commander and the rest of the division, was the entity wasn't an unknown entity, rather it was a blue-haired child omitting black energy which formed some sort of dense aura around him. The child was walking as it had just been through hell. With each mismatched step, it crept closer, dragging its feet along the ground with an expressionless face as it did. But that wasn't the issue, the issue was the amount of black energy the child was releasing from his body and for the fact that that same energy took a slender-like form, encasing the child inside of it, not only that but it had a huge chilling grin on its face making it look frightening.

With a horrified look plastered on his face, the Commander uttered."What in God's name is that abomination.."
