Meeting.

Outside the town, Michael was using his power to purify the corruption that Alexander had accidentally caused. At the same time, he was rather horrified by the feeling of it as this was truly a horrifying thing to deal with.

It made Demonic Power seem pure by comparison and Devils seem kind. As he worked, Cleria flew out to meet him followed by her guards. Her body was covered in wounds from the artifact her lover had used to call Michael to help them.

Not to mention she was still infected with the Dark Energon in the Dark Star Saber that cut her cheek. She was using her Demonic Power to keep it restrained before she would push it out of her body.

Michael looked up to see how she was injured.

"I see that you got hurt. Was it what caused this?"

Cleria shook her head.

"No, my injuries were caused by one of your artifacts. However, if it was not used I think I would currently be dead so I have to give your Exorcist some thanks. Now, did you find any sign of the thing that caused this when you searched my town?"

Michael shook his head and answered.

"Sadly, I did not. I spread my senses outside Kuoh, inside Kuoh, in the sewers, everywhere, and came up empty-handed. I also do not know what I am looking for. What caused this and what killed my Exorcists?"

Cleria looked at her guards who from the look of it were off put by the aura of corruption that surrounded the area. Michael was almost done purifying it, but even the residue made them feel scared.

"It was a strange armor-wearing Werewolf-looking thing. It looked like a werewolf with black fur, and purple streaks in the fur. I only saw its face as it was wearing black wolf-themed armor and worst of all it wielded a massive sword. The sword was made of a Dark Purple Crystal that was cursed.

Just one cut to my cheek and the corruption began to kill me from the inside. I also think it had a life-draining curse placed on the blade. Even now, I feel it eating away at my life."

Hearing this made Michael curious and warry.

"Werewolves don't normally get so strong. Or wear armor, or use swords."

Clearia clarified things more.

"That is just the thing. He was not a normal werewolf. He was 4 meters tall, and he had 2 tails. You know that has never happened before in the werewolf clans before. Not to mention the sword, it was three meters long and a cursed storm was caused by it.

Both it and the armor were cursed which caused the werewolf's outburst. When I confronted him he was clashing with the curses trying to keep his rationale. I think it is my fault he went berserk as I distracted him at the worse moment.

He even spoke to me a few times before he snapped. He mentioned this being his first fight."

Michael put his hands down as he had just finished purifying the area.

"If this is his first battle, does that mean he just never fought before, or the worst case scenario?"

Cleria did not understand.

"What?"

Michael answered her question.

"This was his first transformation and time using his artifacts. Showing his lack of control he snapped and fought you and my Exorcists. This is worrying."

Cleria squinted her eyes.

"I will keep an eye out for the time being. I will increase patrols and search Kuoh for any clues. Will you help?"

Michael nodded.

"This involves the deaths of my Exorcists. I will send some qualified for the job. With your permission of course."

Cleria nodded.

"It is given."

Once they had agreed, Michael returned to Heaven in a bright glow while Cleria flew back home with her guards. Once they were gone Alexander's bloodline finally let him move and released him.

He snorted as he popped his neck.

"Ragnarok. You still in there."

From his chest emerged a black mist that reformed into his pet. The wolf sat on the floor and nodded.

"So, that just happened. Considering all things, that went better than expected. I learned some things about myself and my gifts. Now, what to do with this."

He walked toward the mirror and pulled out the new medallion that was around his neck. It was a black wolf head with glowing red eyes. He could feel the armor's feelings, which were a mix of violent desires, screams of pure rage, and hate.

"So, you are my special armor."

In response, he could feel the connection between them. Now that it was in this state, it had less control over him, but he still knew this was a cursed artifact. Powerful yes, but double-edged.

"Welcome to my fucked up life. Now, where is the other one."

He felt a blip in his mind which turned out to come from the Dark Star Saber. It was currently stored away in his soul as unlike the Berserker Armor, it could not hide from prying eyes.

Unlike the Berserker Armor, this one felt more quiet, like it was above raging. It was certainly not something to be trusted, but he was fine with it.

"Welcome to you as well. Now that we are stuck together, let us survive in this crap show."

He put his medallion back into his shirt while he looked out the window.

"My stunt will have dragged attention on me. Something I wanted to avoid. What will my Miki and Gorou think about this situation? What will the people of this town think to begin with?"

He squinted his eyes as he had a few questions about what was going to happen from here out. He walked over to his bed and lay down. He closed his eyes and went to sleep as he was a bit tired from his night of accidents.

Ragnarok jumped up on his chest and curled up with him which made Alexander sleep more easily. Before long both of them fell asleep together. When they both woke up it was already morning so Alexander rose out of bed. He put on his shoes and one of his hoodies.

Which reminded him that he left his shirt and hoodie on the roof top where he ate that Exorcist.

'I got to get those back.'

"Ragnarok, come on."

The wolf jumped off the bed and followed his friend out of the room. At the breakfast table, Miki and Gorou were sitting and eating breakfast like normal. When they saw him they smiled.

"Alexader, good morning."

He nodded.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?"

Miki smiled.

"Yeah, there was a thunderstorm last night, but besides that, we slept just fine."

Hearing that was both confusing and reassuring.

"I see. Well, I am not that hungry today. I will be out for a few hours."

It was the weekend today so that was fine. Gorou smiled and patted his shoulder.

"Stay safe out there."

Miki also wished him well.

"Take care. Ragnarok, look after my boy."

The wolf would do so with his life. He snarled and looked intimidating to show he would do so. They both smiled at the wolf as Alexander walked out of the house followed by his pet.

'Let's get some money.'

Ragnarok nodded as money was good. With money, they could eat good food, sleep on good beds, and live in good houses. All things that the spoiled wolf had gotten back when Alexander was rich.

They both began to make their way toward the jewelry store which was situated near the center of the town. It was owned by a fat sleaze bag who liked to rip people off by buying their heirlooms for cheap just to resale for the real value.

So, Alexander had no issue with taking from the man so he wanted his money's worth. On the way there he spread his sense to listen in to the ongoings of the town. He found that there were more Exorcists and even Devils patrolling in secret.

Some Devils dressed like normal people but were actually looking for any sign of Alexander. As for the Exorcists, they leaped from rooftop to rooftop in secret doing the same.

'From the look of it, they do not get along. Can't really blame them for it.'

Just as he was walking, a pretty girl hugged his arm.

"Wow, you have really nice muscles."

'A devil.'

She had black hair and looked to be around 17. She only reached around his neck, but she had a very large rack that was pressed against his muscular arm. His hoodie was pulled up so she did not get a look at his face just yet.

"Why thank you? How much?"

She smiled.

"For what?"

"You're a hooker, right? How much so I can fuck you?"

That seemed to have thrown a wrench in her calm demeanor. She let go of his arm and scoffed.

"I am not a hooker. I was just being nice and you do this?"

Alexander shrugged.

"Not just any girl comes up and presses her tits against you unless they are hookers or really loose. Can you blame me? Right Ragnarok?"

Ragnarok nodded as he remmebered Samantha. His friend's old female. She calmed herself a little and cleared her voice. Plus, her attention had gone to Ragnarok. A wolf was not a common pet so she felt that Alexander could be their werewolf.

One way to find out.

"What I wanted to do was to sell you some jewelry. Not myself."

Alexander paused and asked a question.

"Got any rings?"

She nodded and showed off some pretty silver rings. She was wearing gloves as Silver was not friendly to Devils either. These rings were made last night to be sold to as many people as to test for werewolves. Silver hurt them so anyone who touched it or wore the rings was cleared as not a suspect.

Alexander looked through the rings she offered and pointed at a wolf one.

"This one. How much?"

The Devil smiled and answered.

"26,417 Yen.(200 dollars)."

Alexander reached into his back pocket for his wallet. He did odd jobs around the town and Miki and Gorou gave him some allowance so he could afford it. He handed her the money and out on the ring.

She sighed when she saw that, but smiled.

"Thank you for the purchases."

Just as she was about to walk away, Alexander grabbed her waist and pulled her in. He brought her face close to his which shocked her at how much strength he had. She was a Devil and no human should be able to do this to her.

However, she got her answer when she looked into his eyes under his hoodie. They were glowing in the shadows a dark purple.

"Tell your boss that last night was a mistake. I even want to compensate her, but I need a promise. A way to know you won't betray me."

She realized that she ran into the one they were looking for. She knew he could kill her in an instant so she nodded.

"We can sign a Devil Contract. I promise to speak to Cleria and I will not sell you out. She will also rather speak to you first than make an enemy of you. That I can guarantee. The church not so much, so we won't tell them."

Alexander squinted his eyes which made the Devil gulp.

"What needs to be done?"

"You need to make an offering?"

Alexander grinned showing off his wolf teeth.

"How about I go on a date with you?"

Ragnarok wanted to facepalm as his friend was still a horny mutt. Maybe now even more so. She nodded.

"Ok, one date and no kissing or sex. With that, the contract is done."

He felt the contract be signed, so he let go of the Devil.

"My name is Alexander Canis. But you can call me Alexander."

The Devil nodded.

"I am Ingrid. Now, I will go call Cleria. She will want to meet with you because of last night. Your sword did a number on her and she is sick. We can't seem to expel the curse."

He rubbed the back of his head and nodded.

"I will deal with it. As for where I will be, I hear the park near Kuoh is a nice place. I will be there in 3 hours. I got something to do."

Ingrid nodded and walked away. As for Alexander, he looked at Ragnarok.

"Businessman."

He held his hand out which the wolf shook. He saw a means to get some connections and he did not kill any Devils last night. So, he might even find a means to profit from this. Once a businessman, always a businessman.
