Chapter Seven

Fu Bingwen didn't know what to think when he got out of the healing pod to a sea of tall, brawny male soldiers in the mansion. He knew that they were his wife's soldiers from the patch on their left shoulder. His wife's family symbol was a dragon and a phoenix circling around each other. He thought it would have been the royal family who would have a dragon and phoenix circle, but the royal symbol was a tiger.

The soldiers were looking at him, a fierce and tough feeling came off of them. He almost fell to his knees from the pressure in the room. A male doctor came in the room, glaring at the soldiers and in an instant, the pressure disappeared and they were relaxed. Fu Bingwen held onto the edge of the pod, not ready to leave it as they still surrounded him.

"Hello, Fu Bingwen," the doctor told him as he signaled them to leave the room. They shuffled out of the room, looking back at him. "Vanessa is currently talking to our superior."

Fu Bingwen watched the familiar man, feeling a little worried about how many men were around his future wife. They weren't the best looking, looking too womanly and strong, but he didn't know if the women here liked their men to be more buff and handsome.

"Your brother's mental power, along with two other unknown people's, had repeatedly done damage to your body over your lifetime," the doctor said calmly. Fu Bingwen looked at him, shock. Ah!! The original owner has been abused?! This wasn't in the memories he received! "The damage had limited the growth of your mental power and control, it has also affected the part of the brain that helps you make decisions and actions, called Cerebrum."

Before he could say anything, the doctor continued to list various injuries and hidden trauma hidden in his body he didn't even notice. Fu Bingwen felt uncomfortable as he listened to the long list of damage in his body. "Most of these were healed wrongly or not completely, it is quite frankly a surprise to see you walking and talking."

"I thought I was healthy!" He told him, that's what the family doctor told him, the reports- he grew pale. "They lied, I didn't know!" What if he has infertility problems? The whole point of this marriage is having babies for Vanessa.

The doctor sighed as he opened up the room's holographic system. A male blue outline body appeared, he zoomed in on the heart, Fu Bingwen felt confused and scared. "Your heart has an irregular heartbeat, it looks like you had a heart attack."

"Wha-What?" Fu Bingwen wanted to cry, he didn't want to die! Why didn't he feel anything?!

"All of this can be healed with long-term treatment and a change of diet."

Fu Bingwen: TAT Why didn't you say that earlier!!

He almost had a heart attack, ah! No, he meant he was scared! He wants a different doctor.

Vanessa made a deal, she will return after her wedding and honeymoon. Currently, she just had to get her soldiers back on the field. The pirates number had risen, not too surprising as the number of homeless people has always been high. But with Zergs, most people were too scared to try and sail through the stars. Being a pirate was a quick way to get money as long as you are braver and stronger than the average D rank civilian population. Even being C rank can easily kill five D ranks. The difference between each rank only got bigger.

Now that the threat of Zergs is gone, more and more people are becoming pirates. Not every person who has a high rank, wants to become a soldier. The death rate was always high and had only slowed down after the Hive battle. They are choosing the quickest way to get rich now, by being a pirate.

The attacks on civilian population were on the rise, they will no doubt get worse over time if not handle properly. Vanessa felt no need to send her soldiers after small fries. Like her, they were powerhouses with no care about property damage. She went straight to the worst of the worst.

Mass murderers, human trafficking, anything that would make a normal person sick. It would take them a while to track them down, none of her soldiers had to track down targets before. Zergs were big, huge and giant. Humans were smaller, smarter and fit into the everyday crowd.

She frowned as she looked over the list of her soldiers. Contrary to what she believed, her numbers didn't shrink, instead it grew. Five hundred new recruits' background records were given to her. She read their history and background, she didn't care about their skills. If they are weak, she will make them stronger, if they are not skilled, her soldiers will train them. Skilled recruits are useless if they came from outsiders.

Personal armies were mostly funded by their General as she was the one paying for their families housing, food and anything else, she wasn't planning on letting any water flow to other fields. She knew that everyone had someone in everyone's army, putting them in an unimportant role. Vanessa didn't care for unspoken rules, she kicked out anyone the reports said they had contact with other armies.

Vanessa had sent more robots to her planet, commanding them to build training grounds, farms and houses. Ordering materials through the military channel was faster and cheaper. As she watched her money leave her account, she scowled.

Her planets did make her a good amount of money, but she had always thought more money and supplies in her hand was the best. She could apply for more funding, open schools, hospitals and stores. Then start selling her crops, go for the high quality products and make more money.

Rubbing her forehead, she decided that it would be too much work and changed her mind on developing her planet. The building, the amount of time and the star ports, not to mention paperwork. She will continue on building the base and opening up the fields.

Spinning around, she swiped open the holographic screen behind her. Searching planets for sale, she started to scroll the auction page. Stop on the Fortune Diamond auction, she looked at the three planets for sell. Two of them were garbage planets and the last one was a untouched mountain planet.

The garbage planets would be easy to recover, sorting machinery, government funding, robots and a ton of spiritual water to help the soil. Garbage planets are ironically stuck being an garbage planet because of its people in power. The government on the planet are usually corrupt, the owners don't give a damn and the

Underworld want the planet to stay the way it is.

(Vanessa doesn't want anyone who isn't her soldier on her planet. Even if they are related to them.)

Sighing, she leaned back in her chair. Can she assigned someone to plan for her? Appoint them as her military advisor? Can't be second in command, she has one. Military Logistics? She groaned, she's just stalling now.

Might as well as just look up cute animals videos.
