MAXXPAIN ELEANOR

I let out a deep sigh. We went home to Kendy's house, but I still couldn't give him my gift. I didn't even greet him today.

I sat on my bed and lay down. I stared at the ceiling while thinking deeply.

What a waste of my gift. I can't give up either. I frowned suddenly at the thought. It's a waste to not give my gift since the perfume I bought is expensive.

I was about to get up when there was a sudden knock on my bedroom door.

"Maxxpain, are you still awake?"

I was suddenly confused when I heard Kendy s voice from outside. I immediately grabbed my bag that was just placed on my bed. The perfume in the bag also came out a little so I immediately took it and put it in my cabinet. Then I went to the door to open it for Kendy.

"Yes. Is there a problem?"

He shook his head quickly at my question. "Nothing. I just want to see you before I sleep. Good night."

I looked away from Kendy because I didn t expect what he said.

"G-Good night to you too, sir Kendy."

He laughed at my answer and then lightly patted my forehead. I frowned at what he did while holding my forehead.

"It's the first time I heard my name coming from your mouth, but when did I tell you to call me Sir? Stop it." He smiled at me.

I just nodded to him and bowed. I suddenly felt embarrassed when I saw his smile.

"O-Okay, Kendy."

"Maxxpain."

I raised my head when Kendy called my name.

Kendy suddenly kissed me on my forehead and then he turned his back and left me. I was left speechless and unable to believe what had happened. When the thought sink in to my mind, both my cheeks became hot and I went straight into my room.

I sat on my bed and took a deep breath. I feel like a word comes out of my mouth the moment I speak.

I seem to be going crazy over the things Kendy is doing to me.

The next day, Kendy didn't eat breakfast with me so I went to school still not being able to give Kendy my gift for him.

"Well, why do you seem to be thinking so deeply?"

"Oh, lizard!"

I turned around. I bit my lower lip because I just noticed that all my classmates and even our teacher were looking at my direction.

I turned to my friend who just scratched her head once avoiding looking in my direction.

"I-I'm sorry, Ms. Icala. I thought I had a lizard on my foot."

My classmates laughed at my explanation. I simply fell on my forehead when I saw my teacher's face. I think she got even angrier.

"Ms. El-"

"Ma'am, can I answer your number two question?"

Everyone's eyes shifted in Kennedy's direction. I almost jumped for joy because of Kennedy's speech.

"Yes, Mr. Kennedy."

Kennedy stood up and Ms. Icala command me to sat down. Kennedy even managed to turn to my direction and smile at me before he turned in the direction of our teacher and answered her question.

I took a deep breath because I survived our teacher s wrath.

A few hours passed and our first to second subjects were also finished. So we also had a break time to eat. After our teacher left, I immediately punched my friend for what she had done.

"Why did you do that? The teacher will almost scold me." I stared at Raelynn.

She smiled at me and made a peace sign. Then, she grabbed my arm. We walked out of the classroom together.

"I'm sorry, Bes. I was just asking you earlier because you really thinking too deep. You didn't even notice me calling you, but it's a good thing that Escanor saved you. Yiee." Raelynn jokingly stabbed me in my side.

She started teasing me again.

"What are you saying? It's just a coincidence. Kennedy is smart and don't make any noise. Maybe someone will hear us and think what you're saying is true."

I shrugged my head when I heard my friend's faint giggle.

"Who's the reason you weren't in focus before? You're also thinking about Kennedy, right?"

I shrugged my head to my friend.

"No. Do you remember what I told you last Kendy's birthday?"

Raelynn nodded at my question.

"I bought a gift for him, but I didn't give it to him." I took a deep breath.

"Oh my. It's a pity. Why didn't you give it to him?"

I was stunned by Raelynn's question. Everything that happened on Kendy's birthday came back to my memory. As I thought about it, I couldn't help but warm my two cheeks.

"Oh, I already know why."

I turned to my friend and my two eyebrows met when I saw her teasing look.

"It's not what you think, Raelynn. Just sit there. I'll buy the food because it looks like you're just hungry."

Raelynn laughed at my answer, but she followed my advice.

Raelynn sat in the vacant seat we saw. I walked to buy our rice and dish.

Only now did I remember that I couldn't carry those two so I suddenly thought about what I would do to carry them to our place. I rolled my eyes around me.

I didn't see any of my classmates except Raelynn, and Kennedy who were just next to me.

I almost let go of the tray I was holding because of the sudden. Fortunately, Kennedy is supporting me.

"Are you alright?"

I was embarrassed to nod at him.

"Yes. I'm just looking for a way to bring these two trays to Raelynn and my table," I replied while pointing to the two trays I was holding.

I also have water so I have a hard time.

"I will help you if you want." Kennedy picked up a tray I was holding.

Kennedy smiled at me and walked over to Raelynn and my table.

When we went to the table, Raelynn's gaze was teasing on me and Kennedy again.

"Thank you. You can ate here too." I turned to Kennedy's direction and sat down first.

Kennedy sat in front of us. "Thank you."
