" No father, you do not need to be thanking me. "

Melanie said with a very faint voice as she was speaking to her father very slowly. She felt like the act of her father Mr Carter thanking her was just so embarrassing. She did not want that any thing like that should occur as she did not expect it .

It all came just like a very big shock to her as she was not expecting that at all. When her Father called her name, she had thought that her father was calling for her in order to tell her some thing else. But she did not expect that that was actually what her father wanted to tell her at that particular moment.

It was just so embarrassing for her as she has never withness such an incident before. Melanie with out waisting any little time she started telling her father not to thank her for any reason. And that she was the one who is supposed to be thanking him all the time. As there are multiple reasons why Melanie owes her father some appreciations.

That was literally very true because her father Mr Carter has always been there for her from the first day of her life. Even though he gets busy most often, he always tries so hard to make sure that Melanie was fine.

That was simply a characteristic of q good father as well as a good person. That was literally a great role that he had played in the life of Melanie even though it was not that much. But at least, he treated Melanie more good than the way Melanie's mom had ever treated her.

That was absolutely just it. It could be her mother doing all these good things and even more better than those that her father was doing for her . But her ego and the pride she has in her as well will never let her be.

Any way, Melanie has learned how to no longer care about such things since they instead brought her more pain than happiness in her life. She was literally just minding her own business at that particular time as any thing that concerned her mother did not concern her. If any thing had to do with her mother , then she doesn't even show up at all.

That was just it as she has decided to live in the kind of life her mother had always wanted her to live. As she had started riding along side with her following her rythme. That was actually the exact that that she wanted to do at that particular time.

" No honey, it has really been a very long time since I became this happy. Laughing from mollars to mollars with out wanting to stop even for a second. "

Mr Carter said with a very normal voice as he was being so nice as calm towards his daughter wanting her know that every thing was fine. And that she does not really have any thing to worry about as well.

Melanie having heard this, she now became very quiet as she was now satisfied and certain that her father was not joking at all that morning. From the look of every thing she had had to experience with her father, she was being so happy because the relationship that morning that she had with her father was at least very genuine.

As Melanie was being so happy and comfortable as well being in good terms with her father Mr Carter on the dining table at least. She now hurried up to eat all of the food that was served to her.

All the news that her father had just given to her that morning had just made her to get so satisfied before time as she felt like nothing was going to enter her stomach again.

It was not an easy thing to do but she really has to finish up her food because she was really hungry and she knew right deep in her heart that it was just the excitement that she was having concerning the fact that she was been told some certain things that were not really good to be heard as well as some certain things that made her to be happy as well.

Melanie at least was satisfied with every thing that her father had told her this morning as well as she knew that every was going to be fine so long as she keeps on putting her mother out of her way and start focusing on more valuable things.

" Melanie, you need to eat real quick . You know? Remember I have to take you out later today but you have to make sure that the food you have just eaten this morning has digested first of all. "

Mr Carter said with a very moderate voice which was not too loud nor too low for Melanie to listen to what so ever he was saying. That was actually that what was good because only the both of them could listen to their conversation.

The kind of smile that her father was putting on his face could tell every single thing that could be found in side his heart. He was being so genuine and honest that morning as he actually meant every single thing that he was saying at that particular moment.

He was being so nice to Melanie and that was just so good of him as Melanie enjoyed it. It was kind of the best day in Melanie's life as she was being so happy like never before being around her father.

Mr Carter was being so concerned about Melanie and her we being as well as she wanted her to be comfortable and feel comfortable as well as he wanted Melanie to be comfortable at every moment no matter how the situation could ever look like.

As Melanie immediately started to accelerate the rate at which she was eating as compared to the way she was eating before. It was not really that easy for her to continue eating at that moment because the joy of all the good things that her father Mr Carter had just told her were running through her mind endlessly. As she could not stop thinking about it.

That was actually the main reason why she was no longer feeling as to eat again because of the so much excitement that she was already having in her at that particular point in time.

It was actually a good thing that she had become happy for the first time over a very long time. And the most thing that had made her to be very happy and so excited as well was the fact that she was being made happy by her father .

It was at least a very great and good reason for her to be very happy and excited as well as she was just laughing from mollars to mollars with out any control of the kind of manner in which she was laughing. Melanie at that point in time really cared less about a what could happen as well as all what has been happening.

All she wanted was to be happy at that particular moment. And that was actually all what she was trying to do at that point in time. She was so excited as she was eating so fast that she could even barely have enough time to breath or even have a Brea while eating.

As she was eating , she just remembered some thing as she picked up her phone in order to look at the time.

" Gosh ! It is 8 am already ? "

Melanie said with a very calm voice as she was speaking slowly to her father as she lifted up her phone gently to look at the time very well and kept back her phone down on the dining table immediately as she was done looking at the time.

As Melanie was so shocked that it was already 8 am in the morning. But some thing was weird. She could not believe that her father was still at home at that particular moment.

It was at that particular moment that she started to believe what her father had told her that he was going to change for the better just for her. As she wore a more brighter smile on her face.

The rate at which she was happy could clearly be seen and read by any one who who was sitting close to her at that particular moment. And the only person who was present there on the dining table with her was her father.

And from her facial expression and from her countenance as well one could clearly read out the kind of joy that could be found in her heart at that particular moment. How ever, it was really a good thing for her to feel free at that particular moment.

That was because, such moments spent with her father like that are really rare. Such lovely moments are hardly seen so she wanted to just enjoy the moment so well as she wanted every thing to go on smoothly as she had already planned each events in her head.

She was already thinking about all the fun that both her and her father could have out of the house being together out as a father and daughter will always be. That could be so exciting as she kept on thinking about it with out stopping.

But then , Melanie remembered some thing else again. She remembered that her mother was not down stairs. As thoughts started running through her head as she starting thinking that may be her mother was up stairs still sleeping, or may be she had already gone to work very early in the morning as usual.

It has been over more than two weeks that she has not even see her two eyes on her mother. The rate at which her mother was making her self to be so busy was no longer funny.

Her mother was just exaggerating with all what she was doing because as a married woman she was supposed to have time for me at least or even for her husband but she has never been available when she is needed badly even for her own husband.

That was being so annoying as it was not just a good thing for a married woman like her to be doing . As she started thinking with out stopping about what could have made her mother to be that busy and why she has not been present for over quite some time now.

Melanie after thinking about all these for over quite some time now, she now decided to talk to her father as she decided to ask him the series and numerous questions that had been generating in her head for quite some time now as she could no longer hold all what was going through her mind at that particular point in time.

" Father, "

Melanie said with a very soft voice as she was still looking at her food facing down ward trying to eat her food with so much concentration. As she did not want to look at her father while she was talking.

Melanie's father hearing me calling his name now turned rapidly and started looking at me with out hesitating as he was so shocked about every thing that was happening. Melanie now lifted up her head as well so that she could talk to him peacefully and ask him the kind of question that she wanted.

Melanie at that particular point in time felt like that was actually the best time for her to ask the question that she wanted to ask at that moment. It was actually a very good thing for her to be doing because she wanted to air off her mind and feel a little bit good at least.

As her father now decided that answer her call finally as he had already lifted up his head looking towards the direction where Melanie was sitting on the dining table while looking at her.

" Yes honey.... "

Melanie's father said with a very cool voice as he was being so confused about the fact that Melanie had just called him. He was still trying to guess the reason why Melanie will be calling for him again with such a cold voice.

Melanie was being so cold more than even the way that she was at first before her father had made her to be so happy . It was not really an easy thing for Mr Carter to have changed her mood so that she should be so happy in that way.

So Mr Carter was not ready to see her just change her mood just like that for what he does not even know. As he was still waiting anxiously for his daughter to tell him what was going on and what was actually wrong with her at that particular moment.

Mr Carter was actually very ready and prepared as well to listen to any single thing that his daughter had to tell him at that particular moment. Whether it was a bad thing or even a very good thing.

He was being so ready as he could do any thing at that particular moment just to make sure that his daughter was doing just fine. While waiting for his daughter to tell him what she had to say to him at that particular point in time .

Mr Carter him self in his own side was trying to think about what his daughter might be trying to tell him at that particular point in time as he was trying so hard to think and get correctly what his daughter wanted to actually really tell him at that particular point in time.

Mr Carter after haven thinking for over a couple of seconds, he could not still get the actual reason why his daughter was calling for him at that particular moment. Mr Carter was already becoming so anxious about all what was happening. He wanted to know very fast about all what was happening.

" Honey, can you tell me what is wrong ? "

Mr Carter asked with a very slow and calm voice as he was reducing his voice and bringing his head closer towards the direction where his daughter was in order to clearly hear what she had to tell him as well as to convince her to finally tell him what she wanted to tell him at that particular point in time.

How ever, we could clearly say that Mr Carter succeeded as Melanie now decided to talk to him and tell him a what she wanted to say to him which was actually what she had in mind just at that particular moment.

" Father, has mother gone to work already ? "

Melanie said with a very low voice as she now turned her eyes looking towards the direction of her father as she was looking at her father right in to his eyes in order to clearly read out what he was going to say directly from his facial expression.

As her father instantly after hearing the kind of question that she has just asked just bent down his head and was looking down ward as he was feeling hurt once more.

Mr Carter was hurt because he had just started thinking about all what his wife has been doing to him as well as all what she had just done previously by coming back home very early in the morning with out telling him where she was coming from not to even talk about her telling him that she was supposed to spend the house out side that day.

That was a very bad thing as thing we're going so bad that they were no more funny at all. Once Melanie has just asked him that question, Mr Carter became so sad that he almost cried in front of his daughter.

That was due to the point at which he was being so hurt and disappointed on his wife and all the bad things that his wife has been doing. Any way, the question that Melanie had asked him needed an answer.

There was the great need for him to make sure that he answers the question and also make sure as well that he does not end up crying in front of his daughter Melanie. There was no way that Mr Carter could ever tell Melanie about what her mother just did.

That was because Mr Carter wants that the relationship between Melanie and her mother should be improved not only a little bit but even more. There was the need for Mr to make sure that the bod between both Melanie and her mother should become stronger and stronger every day.

And there was no way that the bond could be stronger if he did not try to make a good foundation for them by telling Melanie about the recent bad and disgusting thing that her father had just done. It was actually a going to be a very bad thing if Mr Carter was to tell them Melanie about what had just happened recently that morning.

That will be a total catastrophic as she won't even listen to any thing again. There was the great need for him to make sure that he answers the question and also make sure as well that he does not end up crying in front of his daughter Melanie. There was no way that Mr Carter could ever tell Melanie about what her mother just did.

That was because Mr Carter wants that the relationship between Melanie and her mother should be improved not only a little bit but even more.
