Chapter 38 Alpha, Beta

Bursting open the door to the cabin, the two of them entered into a gruesome scene.

On the floor lay two bodies, one a young female, who couldn't have been older than Marcus himself, and the other a boy, who looked exactly the same age as them.

Both bodies had two things in common. The first was that they both had scratch marks that were exposed on the bare skin of their sides, almost identical to the wound that Marcus had sustained while fighting Eric. The second was that both had blood dripping from their mouths.

Horrified by the sight, Julianna let out a sound of disgust and buried her face in Marcus's shoulder. He himself, however, did not tear his eyes away from the sight. Looking up from the two bodies, he saw his half-brother Eric, stood above them, with blood dripping from his mouth too, and his claws extended despite remaining human.

It was only once he saw Eric, that he realised what had happened.
