She drove in to the compound, as she expected the lady realtor was already waiting for her. She chanced a quick look at her dash board clock; she was in time for the appointment. She parked and got out of the car. "And here I was thinking I might be too early." She said in cordiality to the lady standing beside a dark colored Benz.
"I just got here, I prefer coming in ahead of my client, Good morning Miss Lewis" she smiled extending her hands in a shake.
Thank Miss…
" Ella… Call me 'Ella please" the young woman that looked about the same age or maybe younger suggested to Brenda.
"Ok, nice to meet you Ella, but you should call me Brenda too"
The realtor smiled her response, "Sure, shall we proceed to view the apartment?"
"Of course" Brenda followed behind her.
She definitely loved the house and its location. She was used to staying in the heart of the city with the freshness from the harbor blowing in to her room. So liked the structure of the house, it was the coolest two-bedroom apartment she had seen. And the bedrooms are suits, with a large sitting room and dining area; the kitchen too was large enough to meet her dream kitchen requirements. What s more it s just a 5 minutes drive to her favorite spot at the Davila; again she reminded her heart it has nothing to do with Dave. Although the house is smaller to her Dad s 4 rooms duplex but she is definitely glad that- this space was going to be hers.
"What do you think?" the realtor asked hoping she liked what she saw.
"I love it"
"Ok, so should I take it off the market?"
"Hmmm… she hesitated to put Ella in suspense, she laughed, Ok, and I m taking the house"
"Great, then I will mail you the needed documents. You are best client ever, you know what you want and go for it."
"Ok, I will expect them, thank you Ella" she liked her realtor, she has a likeable aura about her and she somehow thought that they had met before… "You look familiar"
"You really think so? Ella observed her newest client with renewed interest, I doubt we have met before, because I will surely recognize that face if we did."
Brenda, smiled, "Ok, so I will expect the needed docs. I want to move in as quickly as possible"
Brenda made her way out of the apartment, slide into her car and set to leave the parking lot. She wouldn t mind getting an office space in this location as well. It will make commuting to the office from the house easy and void of rush hour traffic. She would call Ella later maybe she could help with the office space, she thought, but before calling the realtor she wanted to have a look at the environment first, so she drove around the vicinity, observing the buildings. The area was both residential and corporate because of its closeness to the harbor. She passed the front of Davila, wanting to drive off but swivel into the gates instead. The magnificence of the building would not cease to amaze her. She contemplated driving back out of the Davila premises, but she consoled herself with the fact that she needed to say thank you to Dave for the flowers he sent to her that morning. She just hoped she does not look desperate or like a stalker. But she needed to see him again.
She walked to the reception area… about five receptionist sat behind the elevated massive counter attending to customers checking in and out of the hotel. Brenda did not really get a good look of the hotel the first time she came in but this time she soaked in every detail of the reception area. All the receptionist were busy so she sat down at the lounge, took one of the magazine on one of the aisles and started flipping through unseeingly, occupied with how she was going to approach Dave when she sees him. Her palms were sweaty at the thought of seeing him again. She looked towards the receptionist area and saw that some of the receptionists had no client in front of them so she stood to approach them… And that was when she saw him.

Dave s mood was better by the time he received the news from his investment company, coupled with what Paul got from the PI. He knew exactly how to launch his attack on Lewis. He barked instructions to his PA as to what to do and also gave the needed instructions to his investors. After signing and faxing documents to his investment company, his mood has somewhat lifted. In a matter of two weeks, everything would be finalized.
David called his secretary "Linda, put a hold on my entire schedule, I m going out for a bit" he took his jacket from the rack, he took his car keys, and then left his office. Dave preferred to dine outside of his hotels sometimes; it gives him ideas for growth and improvement in his business. Thankfully he ensured to protect his privacy as best as he could. Not so many people know he was the owner of the Davila Hotels, which has grown into three huge branches in the major cities of the nation.
Right now, he was on his way to the Hilton Hotels, one of the hotels that have escaped economy uncertainties and hardships for almost two decades, and are still standing strong.
He got in the elevator, and his mind went back to Brenda and that unmentionable steamy dream he had about her that took his sleep from him, pushing the ground floor button, he forced his mind back away from his fantasy… he walked out of the Elevator to the lobby, and then froze in his tracks… a little distance away was the object of his dreams… Dave blinked several times to make he hasn t move from dreams to hallucination… but he wasn t hallucinating. Brenda was actually standing there in his lobby a magazine in her hands… if he were the one to believe in all the emotional crap about telepathy, he would say this was one of those moments, when your heart yarns for someone badly enough to actually summon them to you physically, but he never believed in all those stuffs. He chided himself, for God sake I m Dave Campbell. With that thought he squared his shoulders and walked towards her.

…Brenda s heart slammed, against her chest, he looked devastatingly handsome, his squared shoulder fit his navy blue jacket, and white shirt clung to his well toned body like second skin, his dark hair cropped closely to his well shaped head, his sideburns shaped to the male hair trends. He looked to have stepped out of GQ magazine, all tall, lean and broad shoulder of him. Her feeling was evident in her eyes, which must account for the smirk and predatory look that crept into his features. He sauntered towards her like the king of the jungle towards his prey.
"Fortune must have me as target to be bumping into like this." His tone drips sarcasm. His look dark, even became darker as his eyes caressed her face, slowly down her shapely form, and then coming back to rest on her face.
Brenda felt insulted by his bold stare stripping her right in the middle of the hotel lobby, and even his tone sounded insulting. Her earlier admiration forgotten, all the pep talk she gave herself about being civil, flew out the window. If he thought he could insult her, then she too could. "…And you sure clean up nice" immediately she said those words she knew she said the wrong thing, because his eyes became so cold and steely that he looked so menacing like he would break her in two. She was about to apologize for taking him back to the days he was a scrawny fourteen year old selling sausage rolls in traffic- a memory he could live without. He silently took one of her soft arms in his strong ones, turning her around; he pulled her along with him towards the exit. Her heels were clattering on the tiled floor, as he pulled her along. Brenda was so embarrassed; the trails of interesting eyes that followed them were not lost on her, which made it more embarrassing. She kept struggling and resisting his firm hold on her. Half hopping, half walking, Dave pulled her along as he walked briskly towards the exit. Just before they got to the exit, he opened a door to his left and pushed her in, before following after her. Dave was beyond angry and it was evident in his dark eyes.
How…dare…you manhandle me like that, she hissed, but barely has the last word left her mouth, his head descended to hers and took her lips in a bold and passionate kiss. All his anger and frustrations poured into the kiss. He held her so tight, like she was his only lifeline and he was on the verge of drowning.
Brenda could not say exactly for how long they stayed in the small room that she was later to learn was a storage unit; but it was worth every day they stayed apart. She melted into him like she was going to inhabit his body.
