Chapter 40 An Unwanted Guest

Kelly's head snapped towards the door when the bell rang, the sound reverberating through the apartment. She wondered who that was, she wasn't expecting any visitors and besides it was pretty early in the morning, Belle was still asleep and she'd only just woken up herself.

She dragged her legs to the door, "Who's that?" She asked.

"If you open the door, you'd see." She heard a voice that made her froze. What the hell was she doing here. And as she put her hand to the doorknob, she hesitated before finally pulling it open, it wasn't as if there was anything the other person could do now.

Jennifer smiled brightly at her as though they were old friends who hadn't been in touch for a while. "Kelly!" She said cheerfully.

Kelly eyed her, what was it this time??

"Hi Jennifer," She said infusing as much cordiality to her tone as she could.
