"Are you sure?"
"It has her scent..."
Sitting on Sarah's bed, Lucifer grabbed the sheets and brought it to his nose before inhaling deeply. Somehow Sarah's intoxicating addictive scent managed to both warm his heart and squeezed it into nothing. His heart construction ted in his chest as he felt strange yet familiar emotions raining over his barren heart.
He let out a frustrated growl as he gripped the sheets tightly in his hands. He looked up at Draven standing by the window in her bedroom, staring outside. "How did we not notice?" Draven muttered with his voice awfully calm.
Lucifer looked carefully at Draven noticing sorrowful look in his eyes. Lucifer was familiar with this look, he himself was suffering from this uneliminable sentiment.
"How would we? We were too engrossed in loving her...saving her from nothing. She played us like fools, turning our strength into weakness, making us stand against each other." Lucifer knew what Draven was talking about and he would be damned not to get what he was trying to hint at.
Melissa.
Draven could hear bitterness, remorse and regret in Lucifer's tone.
"We gave her all the love and power in the world to use it against us." Draven said staring down the beautiful enchanted garden.
"But hey! I'm not complaining....I'm glad she didn't loved me!" Draven laughed as he turned around to face Lucifer sitting on the bed. "Well...at least...we know her true self...manipulative, selfish, greedy..." Draven trailed as he eyed Lucifer who was trying to fight the strange sensation welling up inside him.
Draven sighed audibly before walking towards lucifer. He placed his right hand on his shoulder as he looked down at him.
"Sarah didn't deserved that.....you didn't deserved that. I admitt it was foolish of you to drag her into all this but trust me, my friend...nothing is your fault. We were mere puppets dancing on Melissa's strings...." Draven's jaw tensed as he swallowed hardly.
Lucifer shook his head. "She didn't owed me anything, Draven. Not after what I did to her and her family. She had every right and reason to hate me. I wasn't kind to her. She deserved world and I broke her world and stabbed her with my cruelness."
Lucifer let out a frustrated growl as he crumbled the sheets in his hands and tossed them on her bed. He ran his hand over the imprints where her body used to lay, aching to touch her again.
But she was gone.
"She's got what she wanted," Lucifer said. "Her freedom, away from me, her captor....her enemy." Lucifer's jaw tensed as he swallowed hard.
His mind was going ballistic. It had been seven months since she was gone but her scent still seemed to somehow lingered making him leave just to stay sane and at the same time he wanted to revel in it, rave in it As if thinking about her somehow make her come back.
But she was gone.
"You're right....I was a fool to fall for you."
Her words lingered in his mind like a haunting memory. Like a curse parable of a bleak future, he was desperately trying to dodge.

"She's masking her magic, probably using a cloak spell. I found her location but I'm not quite sure where this will lead us."
"Then fucking do something! Use your some other spell! What that shit called?! Yea....Locator spell?!"
"Calm down, Lucifer. You're scaring the old man,"
Lucifer stood from the chair and took a step forward when Draven stopped him.
"Calm your terrifying ass down and come with me. I've a surprise for you." Lucifer didn't missed the teasing tone in his voice and shrugged this shoulders.
"What?" He asked calmly.
"You would probably want to know who did Aphrodite's dirty work, right?" This caught Lucifer's interest and he looked carefully at Draven looking for any sign of mockery or humor. But found none.
Few months back, he was so engrossed to keep Sarah safe that he missed the mutiny going behind his back. He came to know that some of his guards were doing Aphrodite's nasty work.
"Lead the way.." Lucifer said as Draven's smirked widened. Lucifer followed Draven into west side of castle as bright walls converted into cold, cemented ones. Lucifer tried hard to ignore the memories when he nearly tortured her in this section of castle. Draven led them to small, cemented cellar. Helpless groaning bounced off the walls as the sound of chains rippled in the air.
Lucifer's eyes darted to helpless man dangled from the chains chained to the ceiling. His face was bloody, almost unrecognizable. Almost.
But Lucifer immediately recalled his face. It was the same guard who was supposed Aphrodite's personal guard.
Jeremy.
Lucifer didn't realize what he was doing when his fist connected with the man's jaw almost slacking to the side. Draven let out a aggravated sigh before speaking.
"You need him alive, Lucifer. Atleast until you get the information you need."
Jeremy's eyes widened as Lucifer's hand sifted to his chest. He screamed when Lucifer's fingers dug into his chest. Jeremy led out a blood-curdling scream as Lucifer's finger split through his skin and dug deep until he could feel him beneath his rib cage.
"M-My l-Lord!" Jeremy stammered with fear. "I-I don't know anything."?
"No, no, no! See," Lucifer said shaking his head as he fisted his hand inside his ribcage making him scream louder. "You're lying to me."
"I want to smash his head into this fucking wall!" Lucifer growled, his hand still caressing Jeremy's heart.
"Then how will you get your answers?" Draven asked.
Lucifer's nostrils flared with anger as he ripped his hand out of Jeremy's chest making him scream agonizingly. He glared at Draven impatiently before packing around the room, roaming his bloody hands through his hair.
"Where's she? WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?" Lucifer shouted this time making Jeremy shook with fear. He began to tremble uncontrollably as the foul stench of urine permeated the room from him soiling himself.
"Tell me the truth and I will make your death quick. Not painless but quick." Lucifer's eyes flickered before turning to Jeremy.
"You're doing exactly what I told you not to do.." Draven said with grin. "Let's do this my way, shall we?"
"So, Jeremy, isn't it?" Draven walked slowly towards the shackled man who was bleeding profusely chained to the ceiling, desperately crying for God to save him.
"What did Aphrodite told you? What do you know about her?" Draven's voice awfully calm as he circled around him. Jeremy shook his head.
"I-I haven't d-done anything,"
"Yes, yes! I know. You haven't done anything. But you see, my friend here is in desperate need to get answers. You know he lost his other half and you probably know how hybrid gets when they're in need of something. He can't think straight. Unless you want him to rip your tongue out and stare you with it, I presume you should answer carefully."
"Sh-She never t-told me anything. Sh-"
"I DARE YOU TO LIE ONE MORE FUCKING TIME!" Jeremy looked wide eyed at Lucifer who's eyes turned completely red and veins of his muscular arms protruded out.
"SHE HAD LOVE AFFAIR WITH A VAMPIRE!" Jeremy shouted as Lucifer's fist made contact with his jaw.
Draven threw his head back laughing as Lucifer blinked at him.
"Vampire! Witch and a vampire! Why I'm not surprised! I wonder who that bastard would be!" Draven laughed as his laughter echoed in the empty cellar. Jeremy looked wide eyed at him as Lucifer controlled hard to not rip Jeremy's spine out of his back.
"Anything else I need to know.." Lucifer snapped angrily as he glared at Jeremy. "I'll sever everything limb from your body with my own bloody claws and spit roast you if you don't tell me the truth."
Jeremy began to palpitate uncontrollably as his eyes widened in agitation.
"H-His name w-was E-Everett."
Draven's laugh died down as he looked at Jeremy in disbelief as Lucifer smirked at him.
"Sounds like your father." Lucifer mused as Draven shook his head in incredulity.
"Fucking prick couldn't keep his dick in his pants." Draven running his hand through his ginger hairs. His father was a man with extra affairs. Draven wasn't shocked but he was agitated to know his father never changed.
"You got what you need?" Draven smirked.
"Yes." Lucifer said glaring at Jeremy. "Leave, Draven."
"Hey, no! You gonna kill that poor boy." Draven teased.
"Get the fuck out, Draven!" Lucifer growled as his nails elongated.? With a snicker, Draven shrugged his shoulders and walked out of the room as Lucifer bared his teeth at Jeremy.
"No! Please, My Lord!" Jeremy begged in desperation.
"You betrayed me, Jeremy. You double-crossed me and I'm doing you a favor by not making your death long."
With this Jeremy's excruciating cried reverberated in empty, cold cellars.
****
"Did you find her?"
"She's nowhere to be found. Trust me, I have looked everywhere."
"It has been six months, Damon. I'm worried about her."
"So am I, Draven."
Draven sighed in frustration. "I hope she's fine, wherever she is."
"You know you won't find her unless she wanted to be found."
Draven sighed again for the fifth time. Damon was sitting next to Draven looking outside the perimeters. His eyes darted towards soldiers training outside the castle grounds and spotted Michael in there. Draven knew behind Michael's tough and rough exterior, there was something dead inside him. Draven knew Artemis was his sister and to say he felt bad, would be a understatement. After Melissa's death, Draven was now a changed man, with emotions and feelings slowly creeping inside him.
"So, when you're dying?" Damon's sudden question made Draven look quickly at him with raised eyebrows.
"What?!"
"It's not like Lucifer's going to let you live but hey! I still wonder why the fuck you're still alive when all you did was betraying him in the first place." Draven was offended by this bit he masked his emotions and smiled.
"I'm just trying to cover for what I have done, for what I have lost......I'm just trying to be a good friend...for once." Emotions flicked in Draven's eyes and Damon scoffed in anonymous.
"I can't believe you!" He threw his hands in the air in expaseration and rolled his eyes at the same time.
Draven didn't reacted instead he kept looking at Michael's figure, fighting soldiers in their werewolves form. However his eyes were looking but his mind was somewhere else, thinking about the day when Sarah died.
Thunderstorms erupted from dark skies. The heavy raindrops were telling how much they were grieving and the way window was whistling acted as screams of agony. Her death was incalculable lasting blow.
Lucifer smashed Draven's head on rock as blood seeped through his head wetting the green grass. But he didn't stopped there, Lucifer extended his claws as his fangs elongated and nearly tore opened Draven's back.
Draven didn't utter a single word. Somewhere he knew he deserved that. And now he wanted nothing more than to die and dying by Lucifer's hands seemed appropriate. He had betrayed him, double-crossed him and yet he wasn't dead.
Boulder to boulder, tree to tree, Lucifer kept slamming Draven's tired frame against them as Draven didn't seemed to care anymore. Rage and anger dominated his restless mind and he slashed Draven's arm ripping the veins out.
"FIGHT BACK!" Lucifer growled when Draven didn't did anything to save himself. Lucifer's hand stopped mid air when he saw tears rolling down Draven's face as he lifted his head up.
"Kill me...please." Draven's mumbled words squeezed Lucifer's broken heart. They were friends since they were born but fate did them wrong. However, they both hated each other but the bond of their friendship was still somewhere there, keeping them close, and making each other feel other's pain and anguish.
Lucifer stepped back and gulped down. He knew killing Draven would do no good. He was as much of victim as him. He was played by Melissa.
Lucifer knew he had already lost his heart but he knew losing Draven would brought him no peace, he would still feel same. It never was Draven's fault, it was all his.
"Death's too easy. I won't kill you....not yet." With this Lucifer sped up with wind leaving confused and broken Draven on the green floor of dark forest with thunderstorms and raindrops. Draven kept looking at empty space where Lucifer sped off to with mutilated thoughts and ligated heart. He felt that he was the culprit, wrongdoer, a bad guy, who splintered his friend's world. He felt pessimistic with despondency splashed within him. The pain he was feeling for Melissa's desertion, her rejection was nothing in front of Lucifer's anguish for Sarah's death. Draven knew living with all the weight of repentance and remorse was a punishment for him for all his wrongdoings.
A high agony filled scream ripped through Draven's chest as tears fell down his face washing his face of emotions that seemed to build intentionally. His heart tightened as space in his chest felt too small. He realised what he has lost was never his. Her love was never for her and in battle of love, he lost his friend, maybe forever.
