That day after breakfast Mr Crookins asked the young lady to follow him to his room. It was the first time when she came there. As was said earlier it was situated in the tower. It was a spacious room which was divided in two parts by a curtain as a stage in a Spanish theatre. In the part where Rosie came was the study; in the second was probably the bedroom. Well, the study looked like an ordinary one in spite of the old-fashioned furniture and rough stony walls. But on top of it all the girl saw a telescope near the window and of course it was used not for the astronomic aim. This made her furious. Even in the boarding school nobody controlled each her step so much!
