First Fight

Adrian was still standing there, trying to catch his breath. This force surprised Adrian quite a lot. This kind looking monk, was a terrifying man, with much more strength than Adrian. If the monk wanted, he could have put much more force into this, and made Adrian kneel in seconds.

"You are quite right your majesty, I apologies!" Rufus, the monk, looked up at the voice. It was the king that personally stopped him. He was the only one that noticed this whole ordeal and he was quite amused in the beginning.

As time went on though, he was getting shocked. A young man, not even half his age, was fighting of a force made from a veteran soldier. A soldier that should be hailed as a hero, but never was. A soldier no one but the king knew of, but no less on of the strongest soldiers in the kingdom. He looked at Adrian quickly.

"Good luck to you, kid!" The king said a few words to Adrian. It also meant that he would keep an eye on Adrian, he thought of him as someone to keep an eye on.

As the king spoke, many people looked at Adrian with curious and shocked eyes. A young man just got the attention from the king, and no onw around knows why. Adrian could do nothing but give a wry smile.

After a few minutes of weird looks on Adrian, the commentator finally thought it was time to start the tournaments.

"Hello, and welcome everyone!" The commentator started of this way, which made everyone to shut up. "It is about time for the fights to begin ... WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?!" He was getting excited for the matches now, and he was trying to make the spectators too.

He started a big uproar, everyone yelled, trying to yell louder than the others. It was quite a vision and Adrian could not stop himself from getting excited. The commentator stood there with a satisfied smile.

"Then! Let the tournament BEGIN!" This was the beginning to the tournaments. "Now, all fighters, look at the screen, to see who you are going to fight, and when!"

Every fighter there, turned their head to the screen. 50 fights were depicted, and of course Adrian was one of them. Adrian had been placed in an easy fight, at least it seemed so. His fight was against 96, which meant he was from the worst noble house here.

They were the second fight in their group, and the first fight were between number 6 against 26. It was going to be a great fight, at least many thought so. it was the same at every stage, the first house, against the third. It was to start it up with a great amount of excitement.

"Fighters ... Get to your battle stages, let us get this tournament rolling!" The commentator said these words, as the fighters got ready. All the fighters went on stage.

The fighters going on stage on battle arena 6 was one of the guys Adrian saw as a threat, and then one of the guys he didn't pay attention to. The guy he saw as a threat was the one with a lot of killing intent.

Adrian was paying a lot of attention to this fight, since it was a good opportunity to both learn and scout out opponents. The guy with the killing intent was using a katana, while the other guy was using a short sword and shield.

"So we are the first fight Henry ... Looking forward to destroy you!" The guy with the killing intent said this with a cruel smile. He was ready to fight, and also ready to hurt henry a lot.

"Would you shut up Hugo!" Henry was visibly shaking. Every one here could see that he was scared. He was not ready for this fight, Adrian was wondering why he didn't surrender though.

"You are wondering why he won't surrender, right?" A young man from Adrian's group came over, and started talking to Adrian. Adrian turned around, and looked at him like 'how did you know that?'

"Come on dude! It is written all over your face!" The young man said with a small laugh. "He will not surrender, since he would be seen as a coward! In those high level noble houses, that is not seen as a good thing ..." The young man continued with a serious look.

Adrian was not surprised by this, it was just the cruel reality of the strong writes the rules. The weak one and these other fighters, have absolutely no say in these matters.

"BEGIN!!"

Before Adrian could continue the conversation, he heart the judge yell out. The fight had begun and Adrian lost interest in the conversation, and looked back at the battle stage.

Hugo started the match out with a charge. It was quite reckless though, he was charging someone with a shield. Someone that is literally imitating a wall with his class.

As the charge Hugo made hit the shield, Hugo was blasted backwards. This was what Adrian expected, but what he didn't expect though, was for the guy with the shield being pushed back with 3 steps too.

Henry though, did not mind it, even though he went back three steps, his shield never dropped. Hugo dashed back in close to Henry straight away and slashed his sword from top down. Henry reacted straight away, by blocking the sword while stabbing his sword towards Hugo's neck. Hugo jumped back, to escape the sword.

Adrian saw that, Henry's scared gaze from before, had turned into a brutal bloodlust filled grin. He looked quite cruel at the moment. Hugo's previous confident look though, had turned much more serious. It looked like he was surprised as well.

"I have trained for so long now, it seems it paid off!" Henry said this, while looking at Hugo. He was trying to make Hugo angrier, because it means that he would make more mistakes.

"Don't be too confident yet!" It seemed that it worked, since Hugo seemed quite angry while saying this. Henry's smile just grew wider.

"Come then, show me why I should not be confident!"

Adrian had seen what was going on long ago. Adrian now saw Henry as a big threat. He was smart when he thought. He started off by giving Hugo the illusion he was weak, since he had a scared look. Then he did what just happened, provoke Hugo into make mistakes because he was angry.

Yet again, Hugo dashed in. His anger was being shown now, his killing intent was so intense that most around the battle stage had a hard time breathing. The sword strikes he was making with the katana now, was relentless. They came down with so much force, and so quickly, that Henry was locked in position.

What was weird to Adrian though, was that Henry still had a big smile, like everything was going to plan. Adrian understood this, since he saw that Hugo's condition was getting worse. He was expanding too much energy on these relentless strikes. He was really panting by now, and he was visibly tired.

As the strikes were getting slower and slower, and Hugo was getting more and more tired, Henry grabbed his chance. He pushed his shield forwards, tipping Hugo to the ground as he then went over and pointed his sword towards Hugo's neck.

This was a complete victory from Henry. He had fought in a smart way, and he did not do any unnecessary moves. Adrian was quite shocked at this, it was an advanced fighting technique. Most young people are too hot blooded to stay calm in a hard fight.

"The winner of this fight, Is number 26, Henry from the Silverwin family!" The judge yelled out, while the scoreboard on the site changed, and gave Hugo a point.

They both went down from the stage. Hugo had a dejected look. He was from the strongest family, and he lost his first fight, this was a humiliation. Henry had a proud look though, he had won against the strongest family from the kingdom, he brought honor to his house.

By now you could hear yelling from the back. It was a big man yelling words at Hugo. He looked like a man who had lost his wife at the moment. He looked aggrieved to a point, where even Adrian felt sorry for him.

It was now time for the second match. Which meant that Adrian was going on stage. He was not too worried, since he was going up against the worst noble house there. This did not mean that he did not have his guard up though.

"Fighters, get on you stages!" He heard the commentator yell out again. Adrian went up on to the stage.

The opponent he got, was a big man, that looked quite brutal. The man looked evil, but he did not give off any dangerous aura like most others.

"BEGIN!"
