Mage

Adrian was surprised by this attack, but he was not scared. This attack was quite crazed, which means it was not that dangerous to him. Adrian smirked before he dodged the strike and hit him with the bottom of the spear.

Gus was sent flying a few meters before landing and gave Adrian a menacing look. Adrian wondered how this guy got so angry over a stupid shield.

As Adrian stood wondering, Gus pounced at Adrian again. Adrian loved fighting, but he did not like fighting against people who can't control themselves. He was not thinking clearly, and it was too easy for Adrian.

"Come on dude, get your shit together! It is no fun when you are all angry!" Adrian was annoyed by now, and he could not help but comment.

Gus was too angry to answer, so the answer Adrian got was a charge. Gus charged straight into Adrian, hit him with the shoulder, and pushed Adrian back a little. Adrian was not hurt though, as he just took the hit with an indifferent face.

"Go to sleep!" Adrian's voice was quite annoyed, and he hit Gus in the neck. Gus collapsed straight away, he had lost consciousness.

everyone was looking at the stage with disbelieve. Adrian had been calm all through this fight, he had even provoked the anger from that guy. another point is, the attacks coming from Gus were not weak, they were quite strong.

The way Adrian ended the fight was even more surprising, he had just slapped the neck of the guy. Before he made the hit, Adrian had already been hit by something that could kill other people. The audience and the fighters beneath the stage was baffled,

"The winner of this fight is number 6, Adrian from the Harlace family!" After a few seconds of complete silence, the judge finally announced the winner. The crowd turned loud, this was exciting.

Adrian's face showed complete indifference, it was not really a fun fight to him. He just turned and went straight to the Harlace family. He had not been hurt in any way, so no one bothered to check for injuries, even though he got hit by a strong strike.

"Good job Adrian!" Sir Harlace looked at Adrian and gave him a small compliment. This was the first he had gotten until now.

"Thanks." Adrian just gave him an indifferent look, like it was nothing really. He was quite bored after all.

The next fight was about to begin, so Adrian started to pay attention to the fight. He still needed to get information on the other fighters.

The next fight was between house number 6 against house number 4. It is two houses that Adrian had not really paid attention to. House number 4 was called Montward, while house number 6 is called Robindwell.

The two fighters here, was actually both using the katana as their chosen weapon. They both had a menacing look, it felt like you were looking at two rivals.

As the fight went on, they were equal. None of them could get the upper hand in this fight, which made the fight go on for tens of minutes. This fight would come down to who had the most stamina. In this sense, there was not much action nor excitement in this fight, which made it boring to watch. All the spectators had also started to boo.

Adrian had also lost his interest, he had seen what both of them could do. Adrian did not really fear any of them, since they moved slower than he did, while their strength is a lot lower than his.

The fight ended with the fourth house losing, while the sixth house walked away from there with a victory. The guy from the sixth house looked like he could collapse at any point from exhaustion, while the guy from the fourth house had already collapsed.

The next two fights went by quickly. And the winners were both people from the second house. The surprising thing here was that there was a mage. He just didn't seem to be strong, he did not do anything other than throwing a fireball, which made him win. So Adrian had no chance to look at his strength.

"Hello again everyone, this was the first round of the last part of the tournament!" The commentator jumped in as the last fight was over. "Now for the second round, we will be drawing straws once again! The winners of the first rounds will be the first ones to draw, in the same order as the fights were fought!"

The commentator went on to explain how it would go on for this round. "Our judge will make sure the fighters won't draw the same opponents as the first fight!" The commentator was trying to get some excitement in the arena. He did succeed, and when he had heard enough cheers, he moved on with the tournament.

"Please fighters, go up and pick your numbers!" As he said this, Bertram went straight up there to pick his paper slip. After that, Adrian went up, and so did the rest.

Adrian drew number 5 this time, which meant he was in the last fight. He was hoping for a strong fighter as his opponent since the last few fights had been quite boring. He hadn't really been challenged yet, but he felt Bertram could be a great opponent.

"Adrian, how sure are you of winning the tournament, after seeing them all fight?" Sir Harlace asked Adrian. He was hoping Adrian was completely sure since this would bring honor to his family, but he knew better than to expect so much.

"I don't quite know yet, Bertram is strong, while I have not seen the mage fight!" Adrian had a pondering look, he had tried scouting out everyone there. "Even though the mage didn't do much, I have a feeling that since he is a mage, and he made it this far, he is quite strong! Except for those two, there are no threats!" Adrian explained in an indifferent tone.

Underneath that indifferent tone though, he was quite excited. He had never fought a mage, he wanted to know how he would fare in a fight against one. Bertram was just strong, which made Adrian excited for that fight since he might even be stronger than Adrian.

"Oh okay, no matter what, don't do anything that would hurt yourself, I would rather lose than see any of my fighters suffer!" Sir Harlace was a very caring man He did not like to see anyone suffer needlessly.

"Don't worry!" Adrian was quite touched by this. Sir Harlace was a caring man. This made Adrian think highly of him. A man that stood at the helm of a noble family, would usually be very arrogant. Sir Harlace was anything but that, he was a good and humble man.

"Now, it is time to start the next round!" The commentator once again yelled out, as the crowd roared in excitement. "Will the fighters with paper slips number 1 please step on the stage?"

As he said this, the mage from the second house went on stage, with the opponent Adrian had just beat in the first round, Gus.

"The first fight will be between Oras from the noble house Silversend and Gus from the noble house Silverwin!" The commentator sounded excited, this seemed like it would become a great fight.

On the battle stage, Gus and Oras were looking straight at each other, it seemed like they knew each other. "Gus, don't embarrass yourself, just give up!" Oras tried persuading Gus to give, it sounded like a genuine worry for Gus.

"Did you really think it would be so easy?" Gus answered back in anger, this provoked him a lot. Adrian could not help but find this a little fun. It seemed like Gus had a really short fuse.

"Suit yourself Gus, you will just lose another miserable battle HAHA!" Oras did not seem worried about Gus anymore, his face had turned more sinister instead. He looked like someone who was ready to kill his prey.

Adrian looked at Oras and thought to himself, he was right about Oras being someone strong. Adrian also took an internal note that this man, Oras, was not someone pleasant. It was a man he had to go all out against and destroy as fast as possible. Someone with a sinister face like that could not be a good man.

"Both fighters ready to fight?" As Adrian was thinking, his thoughts were interrupted by the judge.

""YES!"" They answered at the same time, one was excited, another was angry.

"Then, let the match, BEGIN!" As he said this, the fight had started.

Gus charged straight at Oras, while Oras just waved his wand. As the wand was waved, five small flame balls were produced in the air around Oras. When Gus got into the range of five steps of Oras, the fire balls flew straight at Gus.

BOOOM!!!

As they hit, the whole arena hit as everyone around the stage got pushed back a few meters, and a huge smokescreen was made.
