Gaining value

A pair of cold eyes were following the movement of the little girl figure, on the floating screen. "No matter what, bring that A-003 back. And start with it with the project", "yes director". A group of people all dressed in silver white bowed, before leaving.

Meanwhile, a larger number of agents was approaching the lab B-003.

As they entered the room, the first thing they saw were eleven bodies laying with their limbs in strange articulations. A bloody smell punched toward their nose. It was really unpleasant. The captain of the division noticed the little girl who was hugging her knees tightly. Her eyes glowed crimson again, the commander immediately retreated while activating a whilte shield. Under the stupefied look, the shield as soon it met the mist, it dissolved, as if it was corroded.

The other agent let out choked sounds, and fell on the floor. The captain felt that his head was getting dizzy, and soon his vision went blurry. After a few seconds his head hit the floor as the others.

The hidden spy on the ceiling, slightly moved then stopped. "report, the subject A-0003 released a mist, it engulfed all the agents. Nothing is visible for the moment." A man lowered his head while his right hand was placed on the center of his chest, and his left was holding a screen. The chair ,where the director was sitting, turned revealing the sharp profile of the person. His eyes were coldly glancing at the scientist in front of him. "useless". One word left his lips. "prepare the sedative and the examination protocol". The other person could only nod.

The third reinforcements were sent, but they couldn't even make it on time, as they saw a silhouette walking out of the lab. "Fire!!!". Countless flash lit the dark hallway. But the girl didn't even look back. One of her eyes was a dim grey, while the other was pitch black. She walked away, as if she knew where she was going. Black halos were spreading where she stepped, leaving burnt footprints.

All the offensive weapon didn't reach the target as they were engulfed by the black mist. As soon the useless effect obtained by the physical attack, was shown, they launched another one. All the agents clicked a button on their helmet, and their head was enveloped by a transparent layer.

"Ssssssssss.....", a piercing hiss reached the ears of the girl."Urgh..", she turned her head, looking for the source of the annoying sound. Her arm slowly lifted, and a gush of black mist moved toward the machine. A cracking sound was heard, and the hiss stopped.

A gush of fresh wind brushed her face, she followed it. She arrived in front a thick metal door. Her hand touched the cold surface, and it melted like snow. Tears were falling down from her grey eyes, while the other was still black. She took one step forward, another one, then she ran without looking back.

Outside a storm was raging wildly, lightning crossed the dark sky followed by roaring thunder. A white greyish thing was curled up on the soil.
