Chapter 63: Awkwardness After Waking Up_2

Aria Grant glanced at George Flack, and George Flack was looking back at her. Their eyes met, and neither of them could read the other's mind. Aria recalled George's abrupt question from the day before and was about to ask when George began to clear the forks and plates.

By the time George had finished washing up and returned, Aria bit her lip, ultimately not voicing her question.

"I'm leaving first," said George, and then turned to leave. Aria instinctively wanted to keep him, but hesitated, not saying anything, allowing George to walk away and close the door again. His resolute yet unexplained actions should have been familiar to Aria already.

Once again surrounded by silence, Aria found herself alone in her home.

Looking at the remaining dishes in front of her, Aria was thinking of throwing them away, but out of the corner of her eye, she spotted the couch. There were faint imprints on it, indicating that someone had slept there last night.
