Domestic

Benjamin Chudley sat at his desk, leaning back in his chair, while a serious-looking Dean Taylor stood in front of him.

"Adam Johnson messed up and tried to shoot Mrs. Grant. He's been killed by our people," said Dean, looking grim as he read the news from London. The failure of the operation was only part of the reason; he was even more upset that Adam had indeed hurt Mrs. Grant.

"And?" Benjamin narrowed his eyes at Dean.

Dean swallowed and continued, "Mrs. Grant was shot in the shoulder by Adam, but we've already sent Nora in your name to take care of her. However, Nora just reported that the necklace is not on Mrs. Grant."

Dean couldn't believe that Adam could be so stupid as to kidnap Mrs. Grant without confirming the location of the necklace. Now they had lost both the woman and their resources.

"Boss, since Adam is dead, can we drop this?" Dean looked at Benjamin's unhappy face with trepidation.
