David sat down directly, sinking into the sofa, and at the same time his deep gaze sunk in as well, "Okay, tell me now. This place doesn't seem to have anyone else, the whole manor is a bit too quiet. Did you arrange all this because you have something to discuss with me?"
Nancy was still standing, her feet aching after coming all this way, and she wanted to sit down as soon as possible.
But for David's serious questioning, Nancy couldn't quite understand. Wasn't their relationship supposed to be a clear ambiguous one? Why was David trying to maintain such distance now?
"It's not such a big deal! I did have something to talk to you about, and there has been this one thing I've been wanting to tell you, but I don't know where to start."
Nancy started to feel conflicted about a matter that had been hidden in her heart, and a matter she planned to reveal today. However, when it was really time to do it, when everything seemed ready, she felt as if something was not quite right.
