Ivy was dumbfounded. It wasn't her time to act yet, so why did mom cut the conversation so short? How was she supposed to speak now? At this moment, Ivy couldn't bear to look at her dad's face, not wanting to see the hurt after she had finally brought him here, only for him to hear such words.
"Eat! Of course we should eat! We're really hungry, and the food smells good. Who cooked it?"
Ivy could tell that Aria didn't cook the dish, so it must have been one of the other two people. She wanted to quickly find out who cooked it and, more importantly, confirm the voice. That way, she could find out who was calling Aria like that yesterday!
"Hold on, I'll go get some forks for you!" Scott could hardly swallow the food in his mouth as he mumbled his response.
But in that moment, Ivy could tell that he was not the person from yesterday. So the real suspect would be the man standing right beside her?
