Chapter 267: The Chief Culprit

"Why? Why can't I go and ask about the situation? I just want to know why Thomas Yates left without saying anything..."

George Flack's chubby face was streaming with tears, looking utterly aggrieved.

George's mother, after seeing how upset her son was, decided to pull George towards her and explain, "Come along with me, I'll tell you why. But first, dry your tears and stop crying."

George obediently wiped away his tears and followed his mother into a room.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, George's mother took his hand and started speaking: "Thomas's mother was in a car accident and didn't make it. His father was devastated, he's angry with the drunk driver and has no intention of letting it go easily. He's also upset with Thomas. In his resentment, he sent Thomas abroad."

George was confused after hearing this. If it was a drunk driver, shouldn't Mr. Yates be angry with that person? But what did this have to do with Thomas?
