As Thomas Flack was speaking in an orderly manner, Aria Grant didn't know what else to ask.
"Alright, alright. You always have your reasons, and you tend to use me as a shield. But it's fine. I know you're joking!"
Aria was certain about this. Although Thomas would always say things like he missed her and wanted to see her, she never took it seriously. Some words become clichés, and they don't sound serious anymore.
"Yes, yes, I'm joking, and none of what I said is true. You'd better think carefully about which parts are true!"
When Aria heard Thomas say this, she began to doubt his intentions. Why was he saying that she should question every word? Weren't they friends? How could he be so suspicious of his own friend?
