After hanging up the phone, David immediately talked to the director.
"Director, I'm really sorry. Aria Grant's child is not feeling well, and she got a little worried and forgot about our crew. She wants to deal with the situation at home and then come over as soon as possible."
Well, it's too late to say anything now. The director is upset and knows that the reasons David just gave are not very significant. But since David explained, the director thought he might as well let it go.
"The child is more important, so tell Aria that she can come after the child's situation is handled. This afternoon or tomorrow is fine. I'll arrange other scenes first."
David sensed the director's meaning - mostly anger - but couldn't say much, so he followed the director's intention: "Alright, thank you, director."
One by one, they didn't come. David was originally not angry, but after hearing what the director said, David was genuinely angry and felt like he came here just to be upset.
