Edward had left, but the remaining George Flack had no idea how to explain himself.
That man seemed insane, adopting a do-or-die attitude. George truly couldn't understand. He and Aria Grant had been trapped here for so long—didn't Edward care at all?
Did he not worry that the police might find this place, or did he believe he could deal with them even if they arrived? George was somewhat skeptical; he didn't believe Edward had that much influence.
However, these were minor issues because it was apparent that Edward wouldn't do anything outrageous; he wouldn't really harm George or Aria.
The most pressing issue at the moment was to think of how to explain things to Aria. Aria was silent, looking utterly disappointed in him, and though George felt wronged, how could he handle the constant dredging up of past issues?
"Are you hungry now?"
At last! George heard Aria's stomach growl, so he quickly asked, finally finding a topic to broach.
