Struggling over the pain that penetrate her chest, Cynthia had to crawl over the mud land and press hard on her heart. The cold sweat covered her whole face as her expression reveal an unbearable pain. Nanami who stand still beside someone who'd we knew from the beginning, enjoying the process of torture where she had waited for almost her whole life.
"How you like that?! This is what I feel like when you'd already snatched him away from me, put me back into shadow as you wished to roam freely in Lumine City!"
Nanami laughs off maniacally. As she stabs hard on the man who stands idly beside her, keep pressing on the wound on the arm of this man, which connected to the cause where Cynthia had to endure countless pain that struck right to her at this very moment.
Is this the scene where Nanami finally meets with her sister? Is this where the revenge took place as she waited for this moment to happen before her eyes? Look like we have taken a shortcut and revealed some of the important points of the story.
My apology for letting everyone get caught in the same confusion as Cynthia had in our last chapter. Now, shall we rewind and return to the time where Cynthia has to make her decision on saving the last humanity of this realm, or she will leave them all behind, stay away from her benefactor and prevent the mass killing to happen?
"I have a few questions."
Cynthia state out her mind, clearing off the fogging that blocked her vision. Demanding her answer before she could ask herself the same question as Nanami has asked herself a month ago.
"We will try to answer all your questions if you were willing to stay. Not meant to hurt your feelings, but we have to give our people some trust, something that proves you are not the enemies, not the spies that smuggle herself into our camp which lead the armies coming to our way."
"I am not her. The tyranny, the crudeness, the dictatorship displayed by my sister will not and shall not be my act to the fragile humans like you." Cynthia grabbed firm her fist, enduring the anger that came from her heart reminding herself of what Nanami has done to the people of Namor.
"Word doesn't clear off your innocence, before we answer your question, shall we negotiate?"
Tsukunami tried to open a space for negotiation. Although the time has narrowed, tight as the time they speak to each other now, Cynthia had no other choice but to agree on whatever Tsukunami has panned out.
Exchanging information, that what benefits both parties when the opposition has a common goal. Unlike Nanami who doesn't talk, all she did was slaughter the weak, prove herself to be the one who shall stand above them. Cynthia begins to answer every confusion, every mystery that happened a month ago, since the day where her sister returned to the place of birth.
Cynthia tells everything from the beginning. Everything that started from the first day she found out Nanami's existence within herself. How she endure every single day, enduring every torture from the shadow, lurking and tarnishing her soul as she demands more and more, converting and dominating her body when the times come.
Since the day she makes a wrong decision, ended her life by deducing herself will be free from the invisible chain that binds both of them, Nanami has begun dominating her body. Although it looks like was an act out of sympathy, the fact Nanami didn't want to destroy Cynthia was because of the ill fate that bond both of them, a binding spell that takes an unexpected turn to become a curse.
Cynthia told them their world shared a similar tragedy, due to the population of Lumine City, and the ability blessed by her uncle, almost all the humans in her world manage to avoid extinction by the time they spoke to each other right now. But she still needs to know what happened to this world called Namor, a place where no god or human can suppress her sister's half-boiled ability.
On other hand, Tsukunami told Cynthia that once before the arrival of Nanami, they had a long battle against the armies of the dead, which lead by someone unknown, and no record was made of his existence right after the civilization began in this realm.
It's way too long, way too back behind, times where Tsukunami ancestors, relieved from their capability from ruling over this once peaceful and harmonious planet. A sudden drop of a meteor, pass by the town, as it crosses over the border, smashing right into the bottom of the sea.
They never pay much attention to it since it is like a normal meteor shower. But what caused the commotion next was the unknown figure that walks right out from the shore, a figure that looks like a human, detach himself from the blazing hot meteor stone that cooling off from the temperature of the sea. He's commanding a thousand creatures, a monster that has been hiding away since the ancient war.
Yes, every realm has its own stories. Every world has its history to be told. It is the same goes with Namor. A once peaceful and harmonious planet goes into war against a creature that planned to cease humans from existence. They fall without a leader, they fall when the human at that era, able to subdue with their talent of magic, a shortwave of manipulating natural force of energy that circulating themselves.
Humans were forced to retreat when Tsukunami's great-great-grandfather has to face off King, the other side of Ric, who still possessed a tremendous amount of power at that time. Humans had a great loss, although almost all the area, all the small part of this continent occupied by humans, yet now, almost all of it already become a nest for these ugly creatures as King seize everything from them.
"You mention your great great grandfather, I thought King had already been here since more than millennia ago?" Cynthia asked.
"Our average lifespan was ten thousand years in each generation, so if we tried to do a calculation here, I don't believe my math is wrong."
Cynthia was shocked by the difference of time between her realms and here. It is real torture, a time-consuming realm where everything is slower than her realm, that quite explains how does Nanami arrive here a month ago when she just drove her off a few minutes ago before she jump into the bridge which link her to Namor.
"How many hours did your planet have before it turn into a full day?" Cynthia asked as she is quite uncertain about the time flow in here.
"Forty hours," Adelith answered casually.
"Then how many minutes for an hour?"
"380 minutes."
"This is quite troublesome." Cynthia bites her nails as she can't keep up with the calculation of the time flow in Namor. Learning how do they count for how many minutes and hours to pass a day, she can't imagine how Nanami can endure a month in here which almost circulated for 2 months in their realms.
