Chapter 68 - The Aftermath

The two operatives stood before each other, ready to bring an end to this as soon as possible. Then the two of them ran at each other with everything they had, hoping to put an end to this in one stroke.

The eyes of all the spectators widened in anticipation at what was about to unfold before them. All who held the firm position that the superior operative would win beforehand kept their fingers crossed this time, as the impulsive Mia had just proven that anything could happen.

The two operatives clashed and went past each other in a flash, leaving sparks flying from the collision of their swords. Along with those sparks in the air were shattered pieces of Mia's sword, along with little droplets of blood temporarily floating in the air.

The little crowd of spectators watched in ecstasy as the injured Mia fell to the ground with her now broken sword, as Zaraki stood on the other side with his sword still intact and in his hand, victorious.
