Chapter 167 - When Life Screws You Up

Maria had cried her eyes out after regaining consciousness. She was given food to eat but refused to take anything, refusing to be comforted. She was unhappy and needed a lot of time alone, so she asked everyone to leave, as she wanted solitude.

Of course, she cried another round while everyone was gone. She wept until the bags firmed below her reddened eyes and her face got swollen. She kept crying until she fell asleep again, not knowing when sleep from exhaustion had taken over her.

After passing out a second time, she woke up again, looked out the window before her, and could see the moon shining brightly in the sky. Now she could feel the hunger pangs as her stomach began to growl silently.
