Chapter 186 - Settled at the Lowlands

Even though Zaraki had been assured that they would be taken somewhere for their own good, he couldn't help but worry when the carriage took them past the urban areas and back into what looked like slums.

Mikan Katsura noticed his subliminal distress and placed a hand on his shoulder, knowing his worry. Zaraki was an avid overthinker, and she understood that well.

After several more minutes, they finally arrived at their destination. It resembled a village, except that it had better buildings and structures than expected. It seemed nobody had been in the area for a long time; weeds were beginning to grow on the walls of the buildings, and most of the floors were covered in vegetation.

They wondered why the village was abandoned, as it looked like a beautiful habitation with all the basic structures for a comfortable life available. They could see the beauty of the area even with the weeds covering the entire site.
