Chapter 188 - A New Meeting

Long moments later, Maria's parents were now reduced to ashes. The people attending the cremation had stood there for over an hour, watching, singing, and praying. It was a sober moment for everyone present, even for the pirates who were watching from a distance.

They too had lost people important to them, one of whom was taken from them during the Odyssey, but with the way this cremation process was undertaken, they were forced to feel the gravity of the loss of two people they didn't know. So they joined in mourning.

They all mourned for everyone who was lost during the Odyssey—the soldiers, pirates, and civilians who turned out to be casualties along the way.

When the people got tired of singing, everyone cried, and when they got tired of crying, they remained silent.
