Station Where I Met Him

"The next station, Box Hill Station."

The announcement repeats itself for few times. And Louisa can see a lot of people are start to stands up. Louisa prepares for her stuff and she's mingled with others to get out of the train. It's quite pack. But at least Louisa can get out of the train before the door closed. The situation at Box Hill Station is quite different from Melbourne's CBD. It's packed with lots of people, especially students. But Louisa feels like home whenever she reached Box Hill. She's in love with their foods.

Her phone is ringing. She looked at who's the caller, and it's her sister. She picked it up.

"Yes, I'm already at Box Hill station."

"Auntie Louisa????????". Louisa notices that it's Jerry!

"Hey Jerry, how are you? Yes, it's auntie Louisa!"

Louisa can hear Jerry's giggling on the other side as he called for his mother, "Momma it's auntie Louisa on the phoneeeee!"

Louisa laughs when she hears that. After a while, her sister took over the phone and ask Louisa to wait. After Jerry is done changing clothes, they will pick Louisa up and they will go for lunch. Louisa nodded and ask where she should wait for her. Her sister gave her a direction on where she should wait. After some time, Louisa ended up the call and started to walk. She taps off her card as she's leaving the station.

After waiting for several minutes, Louisa can see her sister car picking her up. And she can see giggling Jerry on the backside. He's sat inside the child's seat and he's waving at Louisa. Louisa board the car and she hugged her sister first, before turn into Jerry and hold his little hand. Jerry looks so happy as he tried to grab Louisa more. Her sister drives away after settling Jerry's in. They laughed and laughed all the way to the IKEA.

Louisa and her sister always enjoy her time in IKEA. They love the meatballs and they enjoy strolling around IKEA. Even if they have nothing to buy. They just love to spend their time there. And today for lunch, her sister brings her to IKEA. Jerry asks Louisa to hold his hand when they arrived. It seems Jerry is missing his auntie too much. He asks Louisa to pick him up, carrying him, and he always hold Louisa's hand while he can.

Three of them went straight to IKEA'S Restaurant. Louisa and her sister ordered meatballs, and fish & chips for Jerry. Jerry asks for garlic bread as well. They found an empty spot in the corner and sit there. Louisa exchange stories with her sister. How she spends most of her time in the hotel, and her sister tells her the story of Jerry always wanting to go for the Toy's Kingdom store. They laughed and enjoy their lunch together.

Once they finished with their lunch, three of them headed to IKEA's store. They strolled around the store, and Louisa is searching around. She's about to buy a warm looking blanket when her sister stops her. "We already got you one at home". Louisa nodded and she put it back. Jerry smiles at her as he's hugging Louisa from behind. "Auntie, let's go home!".

On a long way back home, Jerry fell asleep at the back side. He's sleeping sound and safely. Louisa looked at her sister and her sister smiles. "So, tell me what happened, if you don't mind". Louisa sighed and look at the window.

"It's too complicated." Louisa took a deep breath as she recalls back. "I just came back home one day from work. And I found a pair of stilettos, and as I walk in, I saw piles of clothes scattered on the floor… My mind just went blank."

A silence fills in the air. "Well…" her sister replied, "Do you who it belongs to?" She asks carefully. Her stares still fixed on the road. Louisa tucked her hair behind her ear. "I don't know… Or I guess I just don't want to know." There's a pause in between. "We've been together for years, we've lived together", she continued, "We always know where we are almost all the time. We went to events together, even wedding party! How does this happen? I never saw him chatting secretly. I can unlock his phone, he can unlock mine".

"Well, you know how people can always find time to do something like that" her sister said. "If there is a will, there must be a way. So did he explain anything?".

Louisa laughed as she recalls that night.

Louisa can feel her cold sweats as she holds the door handle. It felt cold. As cold as her palms. She took a deep breath and she opens the door quickly. Once the door is opened, all the giggling and moaning suddenly stops. Louisa fixed her eyes on the bed. She saw her naked boyfriend in bed with someone. She didn't recognize the girl. She almost sigh in relief because it's not someone whom she knew. Look at the bright side, at least it's a stranger. Louisa's face is hardened.

Her fiance is up, and the stranger girl grab the blanket to cover her naked body and hides under it. Louisa walked toward the bed. Their bedroom is not that big. "What happened here?", Louisa asked. She pointed at her boyfriend and the stranger. Her fiance froze, but he quickly grabbed his short and wears it. He's still kept on silent. Louisa asked one more time, "What is happening here? Who is she? What are you guys doing?". Her voice is trembling as she tried her best to hold her tears.

Since silence is all she got, Louisa can feel her tears slowly coming down. She looked at both of them. She sighed and walked out of her bedroom. She closed the bedroom door and she broke down crying in the hallway, silently. Today is just not her day…
