Regret

Luckily for Xuan Yuan and Zhi Qiang walked one meter ahead of them. So, they don't fall into the hole. The voices of the two men's screams rang out, getting more and more blurry and disappearing.

"We have to help them," said Xuan Yuan, panicking.

"We don't know this cave, after all how can we help them?" Zhi Qiang looked into the hole, the bottom of the hole was not visible. This means the hole is quite deep. And don't know what they'll find down there.

"We need to keep moving" he said reassuring Xuan Yuan, eyes looking in horror into the hole. Reluctantly he nodded.

The two of them walked through the dark alley of the cave. The torch in Zhi Qiang's hand was not enough to cover the entire cavern. Xuan Yuan's heartbeat, irregular. The corner of his eyes, he felt, there were shadows surrounding them. But the shadow kept moving erratically. Until they are faced with three roads in front of them.

Zhi Qiang turned to Xuan Yuan, which path they should take. But Xuan Yuan gave a blink of an eyebrow once. "You don't know which direction we should take?" he asked for sure.

"No" a single brusque word escaped Xuan Yuan's mouth.

Zhi Qiang turned his body to look, researching the three roads. He looked for faint footprints there. Unfortunately, the ground is clean with no footprints at all. He had no clue which way they should take.

Zhi Qiang's gasping voice made Xuan Yuan flinch at him, terror. "Zhi Qiang..." he shouted spontaneously, startled. His body was drawn by the shadow he had felt earlier, to one of the roads. The road to the right. Zhi Qiang's body sank in the darkness of the road.

Xuan Yuan spontaneously followed Zhi Qiang's footsteps. He ran, trying to catch up with him, but not even his voice could be heard. He was now walking alone in a dark cave that sent a chill, creepy feeling to him.

After a long run on the dark path, twists, and turns. And he couldn't see or even hear Zhi Qiang's voice anymore. He stopped short of breath. How could that shadow carry him so fast, now that he had lost track of him.

He glanced around. The path he now stands on, is only a path. Not flat, sometimes climbs and twists. As long as he looked ahead, the path seemed to go even deeper. he didn't even know how deep he had gone. Running in a panic, he didn't notice how long he had ran. And go inside.

Now there are only two choices, back to the three-pronged road. But with a note he did not know which path he should choose. The last option is to continue this path. in the end he decided to continue the path he had spontaneously taken. Perhaps by following this path, he could find Zhi Qiang. He was drawn into here after all, so he should definitely find him here.

Only Zhi Qiang could worry him, though he was also worried about the previous two men. But Zhi Qiang is more important to him. Because he had taken care of him from infancy and raised him to this day. He's someone he can trust and rely on. There was only one thing that hurt his heart, he was the one who killed his parents. But other than that, he still loves him.

He learned or even forced himself to forgive him, because he did so not of his own free will, but on Chi You's orders. So, the one to blame is Chi You not Zhi Qiang.

He started walking, treading the path. He didn't know how far this path would take him. But the desire to find Zhi Qiang was far greater than anything he felt at this time. Nor to find a sword. If true as the voice in his vision said that the sword would only bring havoc to this world. It should have stayed hidden here. It would be much safer if no one could ever find it.

He kept walking. Glancing right and left. Squinting, seeing clearly even a glimmer of light. To sharpen his hearing, he tried to catch even the smallest sound. Perhaps then he would find a clue as to where Zhi Qiang was currently.

Until in front of him, at the end of the path that he thought was the end of this path. He saw a room there. He kept walking, until he was standing right in front of the room.

Along the way he did not see any branch of the road, nor any other room, besides this room. then there is a possibility that Zhi Qiang is in it. With a determined heart, he made up his mind. He took a few steps forward, inside, was just an empty room. There isn't anything. The rock walls soared up to the roof of the cave ceiling. No stalactites at all.

There is no shadow of Zhi Qiang in it. This is the end of the trail, where is he taken? How could he just disappear? He just stood there, observing his surroundings.

Only one thing caught his attention when he felt a breeze of energy circulating in the room. The energy just circulates here oddly enough. Not on the path, not along the way, when they began to enter this cave. he could only feel it here. As far as his eye could see. There was nothing in the room, empty and vacance.

But this energy seemed to attract him, he felt like he had felt this energy somehow felt familiar to him. But he had never felt it in his entire life. So, what is this energy. why this energy attracted him so strongly.

So strong, he felt his chest squeezed, he felt suffocated, tight. But more than that he also felt that he was willing to do anything to reach this energy, enter his body and merge with it. as if he found something vacant and now it will be filled.

Unknowingly he went deeper and deeper into the room. But this energy tightened his chest even more, to the point that it was unbearable, he fell to his knees, with his right hand on the ground, holding back the tightness. His breathing is irregular. He was having trouble breathing.

He tried to draw in the thin oxygen circulating in the room. But the oxygen that goes into his lungs is not enough. Making him sob, until finally his body drop on the ground, with his back facing the ground. His eyes were wide open and closed with a blurry vision looking at the ceiling of the cave. He felt someone stealing oxygen from his body. he's really claustrophobic right now. like his lungs were no longer functioning properly. Until one breath that he feels is the last breath after which he will be unconscious or even die.

He doted on himself, who was unable to find Zhi Qiang. The person he loved very much. The person he wanted to protect with all his soul. But right now, he alone was unable to get up. His energy felt drained. Without him realizing it, tears were flowing down his temple. His eyes felt hot.
