While he was flying back, Jack heard an explosion high in the air. He soon felt something heavy land on his back that sent him crashing into a small island.
Whatever landed on him was living as Jack could feel its saliva dripping from its mouth and several smooth tentacles touching his body.
Feeling the drool on his back, Jack instantly exploded with rage.
'Fucking gross!'
Swinging his arm, Jack sent whatever was on top of him flying. Or at least he thought he did. What he actually sent flying was the top half of the being that was stupid enough to land on him.
What remained was the lower body of a creature with bronze-colored scales. Several tails/tentacles emerged from its tailbone but this was enough to tell Jack what it was.
"A Brood? On Earth? I thought Wolverine and the others wiped them out when they visited the Shi'ar Empire."
The Brood were a race of knockoff Xenomorphs. Except that they did not gain a similar appearance to the host they impregnated and killed but instead the Brood offspring would transform their host into a Brood and would also gain all the powers and abilities of the original host.
[Jack! We have trouble!] Jack heard Ororo say through the communicator in his ear
"Yeah, I know. A Queen Brood just landed on my back and sent me crashing into an island," Jack replied uninterested. The Brood were more annoying than dangerous, especially when they lost the element of surprise.
[What are you talking about? The Brood are attacking? We have Hand zombies at the school! The New Mutants are also in Brazil fighting demons that have escaped from Limbo!] Ororo yelled. Jack could hear thunderclaps in the background of the call.
Jack threw the body of the dead queen to the side before taking off toward the mansion. While he wasn't worried about the vampires with his daughter, Emma, and Rachel there, it was still better for him to go and help out.
"You gotta be shitting me! Zombies, demons, and the Brood? Can this day get any worse?" Jack asked himself as he flew through a cloud
And as if The-One-Above-All could hear Jack at the moment, Sue text him at the same time as Magneto. Jack decided to read Magneto's text first.
[We have an army of Sentinels attacking Genosha. Your assistance will be much appreciated!]
Jack who was on his way to the mansion immediately turned around to head to Genosha. While the Brood and the Hand were dangerous, Sentinels were much worse. Especially in such a populated place as Genosha. Even if they had an army of strong mutants there, the amount of land they needed to protect made it almost impossible to keep all the mutants there safe.
Jack was about to send a text to Emma and the Professor to let them know what was going on in Genosha, he accidentally opened the message from Sue.
[Jack. I know you have some issues with the Avengers but they need our help. The Chitauri are invading.]
'Why! Why is my day going like this? I need to break up these teams and get them to help each other since they will be too stupid to do that.'
Jack knew he had to act fast. He had learned in the past that most heroes and teams kept to themselves and tried to solve all issues on their own, even when the world was at stake. He couldn't let them act that stupidly with so many attacks going on at once.
Since he was an Avenger and member of the X-Men, he was the only person that could coordinate a proper strike against all the threats at once.
Jack hurried to call Emma and have her use Cerebro to connect his mind with many of the other heroes around the world. Soon, he was connected to them all and began to rapidly start giving orders.
{Everyone, listen and do what I say without talking back. The world is in enough trouble as it is and we don't need inner conflict. We have 5 invasions going on around the world and we can't have your pride or egos getting in the way.
Strange. Take Blade and Elsa Bloodstone and break off from whatever you are doing and head to Brazil. We have a demon invasion with one of those demons having the abilities of a Sorcerer Supreme.
Clea. Teleport Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Elektra to the Xavier Institute. We have zombie ninjas there and need the best slayers! Wolverine, take those with healing factors to the front line and back up the hunters. Everyone else, keep your distance.
Storm and Zenith. You're needed in the city. We need you to wipe out all the Chitauri reinforcements coming through the main portal while the others finish off those that are already out.
We need the Fantastic 4, Ms. Marvel, and anyone else we can spare who has experience battling in space to take down the Brood before they get within the atmosphere.
Genosha is in trouble. I'm heading there to backup Magneto, now!}
Jack assigned everyone where they needed to be and where they would be most useful. S'ym was most likely leading the invasion from Limbo and he would not be foolish enough to attack if he was not confident. Which was exactly why Strange was sent there.
The 2nd group were self-explanatory. All 3 of those chosen were expert martial artists that had both been members of and fought against the Hand for a long time. They had all the experience needed to ensure the battle ended in the mutant's favor.
As for Storm And Stella, their fighting power was wasted at the institute in such a small battle. By unleashing their full might and combining their powers, they could easily repel the Chitauri army.
The last group was the most ragtag because the Brood did not require a specialist. Just those that were capable of holding their own.
{And why the fuck should we listen to you} Yellowjacket questioned
{Just listen to him, Hank. We need to survive this.} Tony reprimanded Jack and made it seems s if he was taking his side. But in reality, Tony was looking out for his best interests.
The Avengers had been declining and their strength was being questioned. At that rate, it was only a matter of time before Tony was asked to step down. But if all the heroes worked together to take down 4 simultaneous threats, he would get the credit as the leader of the Avengers.
Most of the telepaths could read his thoughts over the connection and felt disgusted but there was nothing they could do about it. If they tried to give the credit to Jack, it would be like hey were seeking validation and credit which would make them look bad in the public eye.
Jack cut off the connection in indifference. He didn't care about Tony but wanted to ensure as many people lived as possible.
Jack and the spellcasters he named all began to chant at the same time before they teleported along with their groups to their designated locations in order to assist in the battles around the world.
