Oneshot: Emma Frost

Emma got into the limo she ordered for herself. She knew that it was better to get a ride than drive herself. And since she was not one of the nouveau riche, she did not need to show off her latest cars.

On the way to dinner, Emma was thinking about what had just happened with Jack. She pulled out her phone and dialed his number but it automatically went to voicemail.

'Seriously? He ran away to Okkara? What the hell am I going to do with him?' Emma smiled as she thought of how predictable Jack was to her. Then she thought of how her life had changed since he had come into it.

Emma used to be much colder and more jaded. She only had an interest in teaching and gaining more power for herself. The number of people she truly cared about could be counted on one finger. (Christian). Everything else was of no importance to her.

And when she first found Jack, she thought of him as the perfect tool. A weapon that could be used to help her defeat her enemies.

"Haha," Emma accidentally laugh aloud when she thought of how Jack destroyed his own arm the day after they met. This got the attention of the driver but Emma used her telepathy to have him turn around and erase the laugh from his memories.

'That fool. Who attacks a wall made of unknown material and thickness like that? But I guess that should have warned me of his act first, think second mentality.'

But within a day of meeting him, she decided to make him her successor. She knew that her life was filled with constant danger and she may not live a long time. So she wanted someone to inherit her knowledge and be willing to avenge her in return.

But Jack grew into more than just a successor. He became her heir that she was placing all of her faith in. And he did not disappoint her. He led the Hellions and took all the criticisms that the other students sent at him in stride.

It was only after Jack came back from Limbo that Emma's views on him changed once again. Because of how he had wormed his way into her heart, she was caught unprepared for the emotions that she felt for Jack.

Before she knew it, Emma had fallen for Jack as a man instead of as her heir. And the feelings ran deeper and deeper as she saw Jack act similarly to her. Willing to risk everything in order to achieve his dream but also for hers. Every time they met brought more and more joy to her life. And when he proposed, her happiness reached new heights.

Emma was so immersed in her memories that she didn't notice that she had arrived at the party. It was only when the driver knocked on the window the third time that she came out of her thoughts.

Emma nodded to the driver who opened up the door. Many eyes were focused on Emma's car. They knew that the CEO of Frost International was showing up and wanted to see what the legendary Emma Frost looked like up close.

The first thing that caught their eyes was Emma's legs. Her thigh-high boots stepped out of the car first and instantly showed off her long, sculpted legs to the men and women around.

Emma began pulling herself out of the car so the next thing the others saw was the face of the gorgeous woman. Many of the men brought models and actresses as their companions for the night but none of them looked as amazing as Emma. If they were forced to be on the same scale, Emma being a 10 would make even the second best looking woman there a 6.

And when Emma fully got out of the car, her main 'assets' could be seen. Emma had perfect curves on her body that matched her height. Nothing seemed too big or too small.

Whether it was her face, body, clothes, or temperament, Emma could only be described in a single word: Perfection.

Emma nodded at the men around the entrance before she walked forward and made her way into the lobby of the hotel.

Many of the guests that were socializing or waiting for other important guests to show up decided to follow her. Whether it was because of her status or looks, no one knew. The only thing that was confirmed was that Emma had stolen the show.

Emma walked up to the attendant that was checking the tickets in order to enter the ballroom where the party was being held. When the young woman saw Emma, she was stunned. Emma had to cough to get the young woman to focus once again.

"Um... sorry about that. Ticket, please," the girl asked with a blush on her face.

'Oh god! I'm straight! But this woman makes me unsure.'

Emma took a ticket out of her clutch before she passed it to the young woman. When she confirmed that the ticket was authentic, Emma was let into the ballroom.

As soon as she entered, Emma caught the attention of everyone inside the room as well. Every eye automatically fell on her.

Emma didn't care for them though. She grabbed a glass of wine from the closest server before walking over to her table. She wasn't in the mood to talk to all the bootlickers around the room.

But some people did not get the hint.

As soon as she sat down, three young men walked over to Emma and stood next to her table. Emma gave them all a glance before turning her attention to the band on the stage.

"*cough*" one of the young men pretended to cough to get Emma's attention but she ignored them

She already researched everyone that would be attending the dinner that night. These 3 were merely tagging along with their father or older brother to expand their horizons. They were of no importance.

Seeing that Emma was ignoring them, one of the young men got frustrated.

"Miss! I understand that my family's business may not be as developed as yours but there is no need to be rude," the one with black hair commented

Emma finally turned to look at him but her face was colder than it was when she entered the room causing the three young men to subconsciously back up.

"It is rude to come up to another person who is trying to enjoy the lovely music the host has decided to play. It is also rude to leave behind your dates in order to try and seduce another woman. It is even more rude to try and flirt with a woman who is engaged," Emma lifted her hand to show off the ring that Jack had gotten her

The young man who had made the comment about her being rude felt annoyed. He had never met a woman that would talk to him that way.

"Oh really? Who the fuck do you think you are and why are you being such a bitch?!"

Emma was about to respond when she heard the emcee get on the microphone.

"Hello, everyone. Thank you for coming out to our event tonight. This is a charity dinner where we will be auctioning off several of our host's possessions and donating all of the money to charity. But before we begin, I would like to invite our host to the stage. Please give a round of applause to Ms. Emma Frost!"

Cheers and clapping could be heard around the room. The three young men also looked around to try and see where Emma Frost was. They heard that she was beautiful and smart. Their families also told them to make sure that they did not make enemies out of her.

But when they saw that everyone was looking in their direction, they had a bad feeling. And when Emma stood up from her seat that feeling was even worse.

Emma glanced at the trio for a moment before walking toward the stage. When Emma got on it, the emcee passed her the microphone. The legs of the three young men turned to jelly when they confirmed that she was indeed Emma Frost.

"Hello, everyone. Thank you for attending this charity dinner that we are hosting. Your proceeds shall go to several different foundations that will be coming up to speak later so I will not speak on that. Instead, I shall answer two questions that I was recently asked.

My name is Emma Frost. And breeding. Top class breeding."

Emma passed the microphone back to the emcee before she went toward the host's table. She wanted to talk with Liz Allan and a few other people that she thought highly of but after that episode with the three young men, she changed her mind.

'Better to stay away from fools like them.'

For most of the night, it was quite peaceful. Emma sat in her seat while eating a drinking a little. Occasionally, someone of importance would come up and talk with her but she no longer had to deal with the flies like before.

It was right before the last item was being auctioned off that more trouble came. This time, in the form of someone familiar.

"Emma."

"Shaw," Emma greeted politely but distantly

"Where is that fiancee of yours? Jack, wasn't it? He didn't want to attend such a function as your date?" Sebastian asked to test her reaction but he was disappointed by what he saw

Instead of looking disappointed or frustrated when his name was brought up, Emma's eyes lit up slightly

"No. I told him that nothing interesting was going to happen and even I wasn't too keen on coming."

"Hmm. Well if you're lacking a date, I can be yours for the rest of the night," Shaw hinted at his hidden meaning

"The last item is being auctioned right now. The night is almost over. As for what happens after that, only my fiance is capable of accompanying me for it," Emma said in an attempt to deny him politely but straightforwardly

The pair had once had a relationship but it was long over. When she found out he had 'dealings' with several other women behind her back, she left him without regret.

'And now, it seems like he wants to come crawling back to me.'

Shaw smiled when he heard her rejection but did not care too much. As a narcissist, he thought that she was just playing hard to get.

"Then another night..." Shaw tried to get her an excuse

"As I said, whatever happens from now on, only my fiance is capable of accompanying me. I have no interest in you, Shaw. And if you continue to test my patience, I don't mind kicking you and the rest of the Black faction of the Inner Circle out of the club."

Emma had no more patience for the night and was not willing to stay until the end of the auction.

"12 million dollars!" Emma called out, doubling the current bid price of the painting being sold. This price was also 4 million over the painting's estimated value.

The host was about to ask for any other bidding but when she saw the look that Emma gave her, she knew that she couldn't continue.

"Congratulations to Ms. Frost!" the emcee said without changing her expression

"No. Congrats to Ms. Allan. Alchemax looks like it will be an amazing company soon so I am hoping to kiss up to you beforehand," Emma gave Liz a compliment and brought all the attention to her.

This single sentence caused Liz to get a large number of people interested and would allow her to expand her business much faster. Liz looked over to Emma and wanted to thank her but saw that Emma was already out the door.

As Emma walked out the front door, she was about to call her driver but she saw a familiar person standing out in the snow. Emma smiled when she saw that Jack was waiting for her.

Everyone around them that were waiting on the valets to bring their cars around saw Emma's smile and was stunned. She was even more beautiful when she smiled than when she had her cold expression.

"Have you been waiting long, Darling?" Emma asked as she stepped toward Jack.

Jack took Emma's hand and decided to wait with her until the driver came around to pick them up.

"Nope. I will never be waiting too long when it comes to you," Jack said as sweetly as he could

Emma was going to laugh but she held back. Instead, she smacked his arm and glared at him.

"Ugh. So corny. {But also very sweet. Thank you, Darling}," Emma said the first part out loud and the second through her telepathy

The driver pulled up and was about to get out but he found his door was stuck. Jack walked forward and opened the door for Emma before he followed her in. With both of them in the limo, the driver began making his way back to the institute.

{Now that you are stuck in here with me, do you want to explain what you were doing earlier?} Emma asked with killing intent leaking out
