Aside from how powerful of a magical focus a wand is or how fundamentally beneficial it is to a wizard, there is one more important reason that even masters of wandless magic like Dumbledore and Voldemort still use a wand.

That reason is that you can't really cast offensive spells wandlessly. Say you cast a lighting charm wandlessly in this case your finger or your hand starts to glow with light, this feels and looks a little weird but no harm done but cast a stunning spell wandlessly and as soon as the spell forms you are going to be the one that gets stunned by your own spell.

This is because offensive spells like curses, hexes, jinx etc are specifically designed to cause maximum damage using the least amount of magic. Due to this when you use your magic to form a curse or any other offensive spell then that magic is no longer yours it is just a mass of destructive magic that takes effect on anything or anyone it makes contact with.

This is why trying to cast an offensive spell using your finger or any other body part is a horrible idea that only causes disastrous effects for its caster. This is also why offensive spells glow with particular colours this indicates that this magic is completely separated from its caster's magic. That's why Voldemort died by his own killing curse even though it was made by his own magic because offensive spells can't differentiate between anything.

The pointed end of the wand is precisely designed to be the most magically neutral and stable part of the entire wand, this is part that is made for spell formation, that's why with less skilled wizards you can actually see the offensive spell forming on their wand in the form of the glow slowly getting brighter until it finally shoots out of the wand.

While a wizard with an insane level of control and skill that matches the likes Dumbledore or Voldemort can form an offensive spell wandlessly. But he would first have to move some of his magic out of a body part like just in front of his open palm, then use his magic to make that space magically neutral just like a tip of the wand would be so he also can't move while casting the spell, only then can he start to form a spell and he also would have to take his magic back into his body before the spell completely forms as to not suffer from the effects of his own spell.

This way to cast is not useful at all because while a wizard forms this spell which takes much more magic, more control, etc this way also takes much longer to cast the spell. So while this wizard has to stay in the same spot forming a single spell in this time they can get bombarded by dozens of spells.

It is also not practical to make offensive spells that only affect specific things or people, it's like having a muggle gun that instead of having bullets that can damage everything, each particular bullet can only harm a specific person or a particular thing and harmlessly bounces off anything or anyone else.

Then wizards would have to make a new variant of their offensive spells every time they face a new opponent. To avoid this problem all offensive spells are only made with the intent to cause damage.

A master of wandless magic can perform any other kind of magic wandlessly like defensive spells, apparition, Charms, Transfiguration, etc basically anything but offensive spells. That's why even extremely powerful wizards like Dumbledore and Voldemort still need a wand.

With a flash of fire, a boy and his phoenix appeared inside an alley near Ollivanders, since it is so late in the night the alley is secluded.

Most of the shops in Diagon Alley are closed right now but even still a few people are seen in the alley going about their business. So with a snap of his fingers, Harry and Hedwig sitting on his shoulder disappeared from view with the help of Disillusionment charm.

Harry made his way to the Ollivanders shop through the mostly empty Diagon Alley. Ollivanders like most of the other shops in the alley is usually closed at this time but today it is open. But the windows which usually give a clear view of the shop inside are covered with drapes right now.

The wand shop has been staying open late into the night for the past month now, the exact same time it has been since Harry's first magical maturity was completed. No doubt both of things are connected.

Harry opened the door and entered the shop, the bell on the door announced their presence in the shop. The old wandmaker standing behind the counter turned his attention to the door but wasn't shocked when he couldn't see Harry.

Seeing that the wandmaker is expecting him Harry dropped his disillusionment charm. Seeing a boy with a phoenix didn't look like it fazed the wandmaker at all but Harry could tell that the old wizard is shocked and excited but is trying to keep a straight face.

"Welcome Mr Potter, I guess you are the one that a very special wand of mine was waiting for the past month. Even now I can feel the excitement flowing out of it." The wandmaker said while taking out a box from under the counter.

Smiling the wandmaker took out Harry's holly wand from the box and presented it to him with barely contained excitement. Harry disregarded the eccentric wandmaker and after seven years took his wand back into his hand.

As soon as he took hold of his wand it was like meeting an old friend, his magic started flowing into his wand on its own. Suddenly a miniature version of his stag patronus came running out of his wand, then came a doe, a grim and lastly a wolf. The four mini patronus started running around the shop, this left a silvery glow in the shop that radiated the entire shop with happiness and warmth.
