Irregularities

Memories slid into the night as Max talked to Bibi about the rumors, long before Max found out Bibi was the mother of a daughter who had been disturbing Max's sixth sense.

"As a founder, where could you possibly not hear the slightest bit about it!" Bayusuta pressed Max with a menacing look. Bayusuta words managed to get Max back to the present.

"I know, I've heard it," Max replied, without surprise and no interest.

It made Bayusuta angry and at the same time astonished, "Then?"

"I asked Bibi to find out who the traitor was," Max said.

"So, how did it go?"

Bayusuta felt something strange. However, he quickly lost the source of that awkward feeling.

"Just like you, I also feel awkward now. Bibi investigated it according to my request and said no one was doing crazy experiments underground. Bibi was busy with other things until Bibi went out of the country with Elia. A few days later Elia returned, alone."

"Could it be that Bibi betrayed you? But why did Bibi take Elia out of the country and fake her own death? Isn't this a complicated way to betray?"

"The deeper I tried to check, the harder it was to find clarity as to what and where the crazy experiment was located. I deliberately did it alone, not using the services of anyone other than Bibi just in case, but since years of not finding clarity, I thought I was wasting my time. Until finally Bibi was reportedly found dead in the hotel, it felt like the point was there. Then today's fact explains it all, that the crazy experiment really exists somewhere," Max said, his memory wandering back into the parking lobby of the forensic building. The woman's face that was like a mouse and cracked Won's neck bothered him.

"This is dangerous for you. I suggest you just back out of this case. Hand over the usual case."

Max says that because he remembers how Won ended up being a victim.

"As usual, huh?! You always talk like an old man at a time like this!"

Max's right eyebrow was raised. The reaction made Bayusuta cough, slap reality, Max's face was indeed young but he was very much older than him, even older than his grandfather.

"I'll consider your advice, then what are you going to do?"

"I will investigate and resolve this matter in my way. Once again, I warn you to stay away from this case!" Max said it softly, but at the same time threatening.

"I will consider, but the death of a human child before my eyes like that I could not ignore. Even though I don't have superpowers like you, I have an oath as a police officer."

Max snorted. Police oath? Is it reliable to overcome the evil that is expected to destroy the order of the universe?

"Oh, you mocked the police oath?"

"I'm worried about you!"

"I am sorry for Won's death. I know Won like my own brother. Therefore I have more reasons not to let go of this case," Bayusuta said. His palm landed confidently onto Max's shoulders. He put himself as a brother at that second. "I didn't know that you and he had such a close relationship. I just realized it today."

"You'll probably regret it," said Max.

"Let it be, nothing worries me. I don't have a wife or kids! So I can be free to do whatever I want." Bayusuta continued to talk before Max cut him off again. "In that case, does Elia already know that the corpse was not her mother? Where is she?"

"In a safe place... I think she's sure her mother is dead now," Max said.

"I can understand. But what do you mean? Is it possible Elia knows that her mother is not dead?"

"It's one of those situations I can't tell you about."

Bayusuta snorted.

"I have to go now."

Without Bayusuta's consent, Max turns around and jumps into the building next door. Bayusuta could only notice how Max disappeared from his sight like a ghost.

Max landed in a narrow alley between mossy buildings. Max saw his right side, dead-end and left side there was an alley mouth showing the vehicle passing by. Max came out through the mouth of the alley and looked around warily. He thought of Won.

"Boss Max!" Draft's voice took Max by surprise.

"Sorry to surprise you. I'm following you, I'm watching you jump from one building to another. Rarely do you do it, so I think something is serious?"

"Did you hear an explosion from the direction of the forensic building? Autopsy Department."

Draft hesitates. He scratched his head with one finger, "No, what's wrong?"

"You don't know?"

"No, what is the boss talking about?"

Such a loud explosion should have provoked everyone's curiosity. The media and state security authorities must have gathered there. But, if Draft alone doesn't know, it means that no one else knows.

"I have a job to do for you," said Max, making a decision.

Hearing there was a task, Draft was immediately on standby.

"Follow Bayusuta, watch him and report his every move to me," Max paused for a moment. "Please, be careful," Max said as he patted Draft's arm amicably.

"But Boss," Draft paused, "Please explain the situation first."

Max then recounted the outline of the situation in the Draft. Luckily the streets were quiet so they could speak freely. They talked in front of a closed shop, the billboards were sloping, and the walls were moss-scented.

"Then I go first."

"Remember, do it quietly without his knowledge, and be careful."

After seeing Draft go in the right direction, Max sends a message to Palasara and thinks again about Won.

"I have to make a proper funeral for him," Max said to himself.

Moments later he reached the outside area of the Autopsy Department's forensic building. He looked at the situation first. He didn't want to confront the vicious woman once again. Instead, he hopes to find not only Won's body but also the corpse of the strange woman.

Max walked into the basement of the parking lot after making sure the situation was safe. Arriving at the scene, he was stunned to find no sign of a fight. How did this happen?

Max looked at each side. Instead of finding Won, he only finds a piece of cloth the rest of the suit Won wears. He then kept it. Then Max observes once again what's left of the former fight area that now only looks haunted. Besides, nothing looks like it.

Max needs a safe and quiet place to think about all the events he experienced. Now Max is convinced every event is interconnected, but who is the mastermind behind this event? Max felt a huge dark passion.

Suddenly Max heard Melianor whispering to him. She whispered the unpleasant news and made him know how all this could be turned into a game of cats. Thus, without heeding the warning of the limits of the creature's use of the power anywhere, Max teleports utilizing a Makhluk Kemana Saja to return to the Sunshine Shop, the place where Melianor is currently after escorting Elia to the Melianor Mansion.

"Really? Is that really the Tanpa Wajah one that appears?" Max's question was uttered hurriedly in front of a visibly agitated Melianor. After all this time, this was the first time Max had seen Melianor's restless face.

Realizing what kind of pressure Melianor is under, Max does not refuse when Melianor gives a hot kiss. Max knew it was one of Melianor's ways to calm the anxiety that plagued her mind. Max decided to set aside for a moment the bad facts they got. Max enjoys the time to make love with Melianor.

After a smoldering intimate relationship, Max asks about Gelombang.

"How's it doing all this time?"

"I don't know for sure. It's hard to understand. Even though I've been with it for thousands of years, it keeps evolving."

A moment of silence and Melianor looked into both of Max's eyes.

"You're having a hard time out there? What did you find? I smelled gunpowder from your body."

"Well, I had to escape the so-so human attack," Max was reluctant to talk about it because it made him remember Won. At the same time, the issue needs to be talked about.

"I'll tell you later. It's not a good time for that, is it? I want to enjoy something else," Max said as he dropped Melianor back into bed. Max buried his face into Melianor's stomach until it made Melianor giggle amused. Max then slipped his fingers between Melianor's fingers. Max made both of Melianor's hands on both sides of the head. The pose allowed Max to see the more erotic Melianor.

A few hours later, Melianor's index finger tapped on the handle of her lounge chair, in the Hall of Work. Her mind heated up after listening to Max's story from start to finish.

"There are a lot of events that raise questions here. Did Bibi fake her death or was she dead but the real body was hidden by the suspect, why should there be a fake Bibi's body, and who was she? Then, what does Gorakshana know about Bibi that we may not know about? Why does he know when we don't? Then Elia, who is her father and why did Bibi leave her? What's the reason? Could Elia be part of us? Gelombang Guard?" Theria reviews the whole story of Max.

Melianor and Max asked the same question in each other's minds.

"All I felt was that I began to know what the troublemaker was like and the cause of this uncomfortable wave from Gelombang of turmoil, to the point of causing successive natural disasters. That's a warning and a sign from it, there's a power that will take over if we don't stop them."
